It's not a sequel, i didn't even know about it until i saw articles saying it's a follow up.. That's probably what got you confused into thinking it's a sequel.
Ultra settings on games, as i've learned in the past.. look barely any better than high, and really sink the frame rate too much.
These are only good for really old games, frame rates would be awful on newer games with an integrated GPU.
GTA IV's multiplayer is crap and boring compared to SA-MP on PC with 100-200 player servers.
Hopefully the PC ver of GTA V will let us make dedicated servers and our own game modes, as well as 64+ players and make it a Steamworks game.
So do Valve, but blame microsoft for charging Xbox players for it, cos it's free on PC.
<3 Steam.
Heh i almost got a hentai figure of her before, but got a dark elf girl instead.
Except that it's being shared with the whole system, and its graphics memory.. it'd be more efficient to have DDR3 separately for the system.
GDDR5 has been on PC graphics cards as dedicated memory for a while now, and PC will soon be shifting to DDR4 for the system as well.
Even my 2010 laptop has 1gb dedicated to the 5870 GPU and 6gb to the system..
Dedicated for both is always better rather than sharing,
Trolling?, the PS4 has nice specs, for a console.. but it's sharing all the graphics ram with the whole system rather than having dedicated DDR3 as well.
Pirating is largely useless on PC, i pity the people who do it because they miss out on multiplayer, which on some games is the main and best point.
Wrong, GTA V's multiplayer on PC has the potential to be aboslutely huge unlike the console versions. Hopefully R* won't gimp the PC version to make the console versions look good.
64+ players, editable game modes, total freedom of the whole map, dedicated servers and steam works = ultimate GTA game.
2 words, Rockstar north.
This game will come to PC, and the multiplayer (if R* know what they're doing) will be much much better than the console versions, hopefully on the scale of SA-MP at least.
It will come if Rockstar has any sense, if it has 64+ player online, with player created game modes like SA-MP, this game will sell bucket loads and be much better than the console versions.
Erm.. have you been under a rock?, they have been developing Source 2 for almost 3 years now.
It is in fact reasonable to assume they may not be far off releasing a game on the new engine, especially if it's L4D (less dev time than a new Half Life for obvious reasons)
6 year gap between HL1 to HL2, but we don't know how long they took to develop Source or the game, if they have a big team it could've been 3-4 years.
Omg. on Source engine 2? makes sense since i guess it's easier to develop.
Can't wait for this, will be upgrading my PC before it comes out!.
Hopefully Valve makes this game a LOT more random, it could do with a ton of more things missing from L4D2.
Still play on my account i registered back in 2002 just before i moved to 128k broadband!, RS and worms 2 were practically all i could play on dial up. Then broadband made fps games playable so moved onto RTCW and SOF2, first time getting pings below 100 and total smoothness was awesome.
Only one problem, crysis runs terrible.. the first one took 2-3 years to be playable when a graphics card came out capable of running it 60+fps.
On release you're lucky to get like 30-40fps average frame rate which really sucks if you check out performance graphs. It's like they don't even optimise the games well.
That's why i never bother with those games, plus it's all flashy graphics over game play.
Prices of good games will go up, prices of shit games will fall like a rock because everyone won't buy or will sell them.
But.. i like the thought of being able to sell games, even if for half the retail price, i want to get rid of dead island and it's sitting in my steam games.. ugh that game's not a patch on l4d 1/2 or Killing Floor.
If they make a new one, it can do with more levels, pathways and harder bosses for sure.
Pikmin 3 looks nice, well the enemies & stuff.. i can't believe the ground textures weren't upgraded though, they still look as dull as they did months ago.
THAN not then, i don't know about anyone else but i am getting annoyed at people using that word wrong so often.
and if you played a PC game on a low end graphics card, and then a mid/high end one you would see why fps are so important.
Play any first person shooter with the frame rate locked at 30 and then at 60 (provided you have at least a mid-end card)
i game at 1080p even if i have a really good graphics card simply because frame ra...
