Most MGS games had an open world "feel" to them as there were so many nooks and crannies to hide and sneak around in.
For someone who doesn't particularly care for sandbox, I found this aspect to be great, even in the PS1 days.
Last thing I want though is Grand Theft Solid. No thanks.
Only played ME2 and ME3.
IMO:
ME2 had better immersion and RPG gameplay.
ME3 had better story and gunplay.
97% of PS3 games are third person.
97% of 360 games are first person.
I'll go with the third. Seeing my character in all his/her glory immerses me way more than feeling like a moving car with hands.
I started out with the Commodore 64 at the age of 5 cuz of my big sister 9yrs my senior. Then a year later the Sega Master System for me. I'm exactly 30 now.
OH....tust me I know. That list doesn't include some other killer AAA titles, just my personal list.
So again...with a full time job and a life, 12 games on my radar (now that vs XIII is no longer), i'll be gaming it up for years to come.
Next gen? I'm good for now.
Three is a number, written out as a word.
It's been confirmed already, dear.
Sony should just consolidate all of its divisions and just downsize it to Sony Pictures, Sony Computer Entertainment and Sony Music.
Keep the jobs and be a good employer by transitioning the staff of all the closed divisions to those 3.
Realistically you are right on that. But then the competition would be between the production of good GAMES.
I'd rather that than just str8 up hardware. Pros & Cons to both I suppose.
I can wait for next-gen consoles.
The Last of Us
Beyond: Two Souls
God of War: Ascension
DMC
Hitman: Absolution
Sleeping Dogs
Splinter Cell: Blacklist
Watch Dogs
The Last Guardian
My MAYBE list (maybe because these companies have a habit of f*cking up, or im not sold yet):
Resident Evil 6
Dead or Alive 5
Injustice: Gods Among Us
Final Fantasy vs X...
Would anyone be against 1 console which supports Microsoft, Sony, Apple, Android and all 2nd and 3rd party companies making games for it?
Hmmmm.....
Thing is, the exclusives are more than "a handful."
Now I won't get into a rant about a handful being subjective, but time and time again passion (cough..fanboyism..cough) leads to parties on both camps listing EVERY exclusive in a console's library.
That being said, there's enough proof in that pudding for consoles being a consumer's choice.
Most people own a PC or a laptop...its not like the hardware is obsolete....
I love MGS as much as the next guy, but how many generations can descendents of Snake kill Nuclear Gundams?
If there were to be another MGS game, I'd prefer the "MG" concept to be dropped out of it and a brand new character introduced...maybe a female?
All taking place in the same universe of course, but a new premise outside of "gotta take care of another mech problem, and my name is Snake."
Edit: I'd also like t...
One of the greatest games ever, and the first indication of Quantic Dream's amazing legacy.
Good to hear..
Downloadable only (or mostly downloadable) titles will only happen exclusively when the network technology is there across the board for download speeds to be ridiculously high.
Even parts of the US and other fully developed nations still don't have the network infrastructure to download at those speeds.
Heck, even major metro areas where I live....the only time you can download at this kind of speed is a corporate network, and that's still a big mayb...
And the ending of Mass Effect was neither porn nor Dora the Explorer. It was Mass Effect. There was nothing NON Mass Effect about the ending. Not liking a product and buying a falsely adverised one are two different things.
Nothing was fasley advertised. Your example is epic failure. Dont ever become a lawyer.
”I read a book and I didnt like how the main character dies in the end. Lets sue the author.”
Reeeeeee taaaaaaaaaard.
I can f*ck wenches in God of War but I cant watch a guy sexually harrass Lara Croft?
WTF????
Wow. Imagine if everytime you saw a bad movie (or an awesome movie with a bad ending) the audience petitioned to take legal action against the film studio.
What? That just sounds retarded?
I rest my case....
I would've agreed with this statement if MGS3 didn't have so much Cold War-inspired, 30 minute per-scene rhetoric.
