with holding review copies from smaller outlets that you know have certain biases is one thing.
with holding a review copy from ign though, the biggest gaming outlet out there, i cant say i can remember the last time this happened.
they were better off giving ign a copy to fool fans into thinking they had even a shred of confidence in the game, with holding it from IGN is massive confirmation the game is a turd and they know it.
What new direction exactly?
It was fallout in space plus more loading screens, more time in menus and no map at all even for the cities.
There a plenty of reasons why people don't think it's very good and a new direction isn't one of them, that new directiong doesn't even exist lol
I was basically playing a last gen fallout in space.
Looking forward to this big update that's coming and maybe 1 or 2...
Simply comes down to, for years it was hyped as game of the generation without doubt, then it came it out and it was so far from game of the generation it wasnt even close to game of the year.
For a next gen game hyped to the heavens it simply played and looked like a last gen game.
Not a bad game but not great game and for starfield being middling just isn't good enough.

Hellblade graphically looks insane, still unsure on gameplay and get the feeling it will be a very on rails experience.

That's the new buzzword coming from all Xbox youtubers who rather than have a bit of self awareness and just admit that starfield wasn't that great espcially compared to the games released this year, they would rather say xbox tax and that whole media is against xbox and this is why it wasn't nominated, its rigged in sonys favour lol.

Id definitely play BG3 on PC though if its an option, if not then im sure it will run pretty equally on ps5 and xbox series x.
