Tbh I don't think MS really knows what it wants to do with Kinect. I always felt that it was created to be a nice big marketable gimmick which would initially entice families to it.
Don't get me wrong, kinect is an impressive piece of technology but the amount of space it requires to play in is a joke and certainly not very family friendly unless you want to be moving furniture around when you game.

Everyone knows how bad Xbox live is. It's something i'm surprised microsoft haven't tried to address seeing as they are trying to give the xbox a family friendly image. They do take action though, my friend got some sort of mic ban at one point for constantly chatting crap down the mic every game.
I personally feel that fifa is leaps and bounds ahead of PES. Presentation hands down it is but also in modes available. Gameplay wise I just can't seem to get into pes anymore and this is coming from someone who has played various incarnations of the series for nearly 13 years now. The passing feels horribly magnetic. 24 players is like half the battlefield experience. I guess frame rate issues can become a problem but surely the real culprit is the piss poor p2p multiplayer system? Simply put, the majority of people these days just don't have connections good enough to host such a large number of players.

Sony aren't like Microsoft in their marketing and it's cost them quite a bit this gen I think. They just don't invest in their marketing as much as they probably should. Vita will do well though I think but maybe not as well as it potentially could.

Around the Christmas period I'd say Microsoft are fine with few exclusives.. so many great multiplatform games out that they don't have much to worry about.
