Seriously, why does everyone think November '08 NPD sales are a worldwide representation of how each console is doing? Before those numbers came out, hardly anyone would dispute that the PS3 had more and better quality titles than it's two competitors this year. We had a metacritic article a week or two ago that even proved the PS3 titles getting the highest rankings, so why is every Xbot claiming otherwise in the comments?

So that explains those two titles selling so much, meaning the seperate 360 titles have barely any ground to stand on. I know software sales aren't everything but they do often offer insight in the hardware sales. And I have no doubt people are still gonna buy some of the holiday titles at a later date, that doesn't excuse not having at least 2 or 3 titles that are selling NOW.

I don't understand how MS can be selling so much hardware with hardly any software selling. If Lego Batman and Kung Fu Panda are selling better than Gears 2 on 360, you know something has got to be up. Ever since the pricecut in September VGChartz have been blowing up 360 numbers. No way they've been outselling the PS3 EVERY SINGLE WEEK for the last 3 months. And with numbers being 150%-200% of what Sony's machine is selling, it's mindboggling how anyone could buy this BS.

LBP MGS got delayed and I'm not really liking the RB or GHWT offers this week either. Lulz to whoever classified Nickelback under "Hard Rock". What I am very happy with is the price drop on 3 DLC games that I was thinking of buying: Wipeout HD (15 instead of 20€), Pain (5 instead of 10€) and Super Stardust HD (5 instead of 10€) are all awesome deals. If you've waited on buying these (like me), this is the time to get them.
So that just means they won't be slacking off so they can give us "new" DLC after the game comes out. Glad to hear it. Even if they were thinking about adding extra quests and stuff, I don't think it would fit in very well with the linear structure of FF titles. And yes, I'd like all my optional missions on disc as well.
They've been catching up with the 360 in Europe all year long and if it wasn't for the price cuts of the 360, it would have made up some ground in the US as well. With the huge amount of awesome PS3 exclusive and the imminent price drop in 2009, people will realize that the PS3 is doing much better than all the propaganda articles want you to believe.

It's sad how some people still think Digital Downloads will prevent Blu-Ray to become (almost) as big as the DVD format. Guess again suckers. I'm getting my BR copy of TDK tomorrow BTW.
Uncharted: DF is still my favourite PS3 title to date. It looks like ND are really pulling out all the stops because Among Thieves looks better than Drake's Fortune already. And we're still months away from the release. It'll probably be one of the best looking games of 2009. Let's hope ND will also make it one of the best games overall (which I'm pretty sure they will).
These are the same guys that gave us the gimped out version of the new PS Store. Seriously, how come the US and Japan editions still have a much better interface? Who the hell cares about familiy games? I just want to know what demo's came out in the last couple of weeks but I can't (without going through the ALL GAMES section alphabetically and checking the date).

What the hell is up with all these articles talking about the downfall of one of the consoles. All three are here to stay (at least for a little while longer). There won't be one platform dominating as much as the PS2 did (although it looks like the Wii might be heading that way) and none of the consoles will "fail" as much as some 360-or PS3-fanboys want. So, can we just skip this BS and return to the real gaming news?

I get this one: he wants another fat cheque from Microsoft to cover exclusive/timed exclusive costs. As long as they let Nomura do his (PS3 exclusive) projects they way he intended them, I don't really care about SE.

I find it so funny how people try to spin this as "360 won 2008". I must admit, 2008 was looking to be Sony's year but it didn't fully deliver. From the software perspective, it was Sony's year though. The only thing keeping the 360 on the same level of units sold were the price cuts. So yeah, 360 and PS3 sold about the same this year, while PS3 was supposed to catch up and maybe even get ahead.

There's a reason VG Chartz numbers weren't accepted here anymore - they're inaccurate guesses and it's been proven a bunch of times. So why the sudden change? Because the 360 supposedly sold very well for one week? I checked all the VGC data of previous weeks and according to their numbers, 360 has been outselling the PS3 since the 20th of September. I'm sure the 360 price cut had it's effect but outselling the PS3 by 10-50k each week up until now is just absurd!

I went over all 15 pages quickly reading here and there and their conclusion is a bunch of BS. Microsoft barely have internal studios, how the hell can they be doing a better job than Sony on that department. I won't argue that they've had better 3rd party support this gen though.
