@dangerclose - you didn't particularly call anyone stupid or wrong in this post, but the positive brigade (sushimama, king kratos, sungod, sampson..whatever,... to name a few) is all they do. They seem to be the loudest voices and getting the most likes, so people tend to agree with them on this site, I suppose. However, seeing as there are valid counter arguments as to why a lot of people who liked TLOU don't like TLOU2, I find it jarring that you aren't allowed to speak about th...

That's a lot of positive opinions from people who got the game for free and want to uphold their access with certain big names like Sony. There is absolutely no reason that IGN's or any other website's opinion is more valid than any other person that completed the game. You could argue it's their job and that's why they experience more and are more hardened players. You should check out the dumb stuff they post on their twitter accounts, the "high level" gamepay ...

Probably the game I'm looking most forward to from the PS5 presentation. I just hope developers don't bend the knee any more to easily offende people. Make the game you have envisioned, don't let some fake outrage steer you off course.

Sekiro, God of War and heck, even Uncharted 4 are some of my top picks, that deserve the title over TLOU2.

I don't own any other consoles/gaming PC, so can't personally vouch for games on other systems.

Because this is deny city. All you're getting here is disagrees, because TLOU2 is the holy grail and can do no wrong. Every time someone mentions valid criticism, it gets struck down with downvotes, even if it's stating opinion/fact or quoting a source.

It's like talking to a small child with fingers in their ears, screaming loudly. Basically like blue checkmarks on twitter.

My God, this is beyond ridiculous. You can't have a proper discussion without being put words in your mouth or labeled, because God forbid someone didn't like this game for one of many valid reasons. I think RobinGaming and UpperEchelonGaming put it into words best, without being disrespectful to those that do like it.

The shortsightedness that people that don't agree with your "TLOU2 is the holy grail"-analogy is baffling. We get it, there must be som...

@Sunny_D For huge franchises of course it's not gonna go from selling millions of copies to selling under a million overnight. Heck The Last Jedi had one of the best openings ever and still made almost a billion, but the damage was done. Rise of the Skywalker, although it tried to undo the damage, suffered from TLJ's influence, even though it was still quite messy itself. In any case, though not 100% accurate, companies going overboard with virtue signaling do often suffer financially...

I'm quite critical of this game's issues but violence being overblown is just squeamish journalists making a lot of fuzz over nothing.

@Sunny_D and what an oscar worthy movie that was....

Also this thread is a lot of people patting each other on the back and keeping up the "all opinons except TLOU2 being game of the generation are valid" argumentation.

In the end, it's coming off of Naughty Dog's nearly impeccable record. If anything would show sales wise, it would be their next game, especially if they keep the same course.

Another part of the game that ND has excelled in. I hope other devs will follow suit, as difficulty is not the only accessibility option.

Incidentally Polygon has put out many articles masking their demand to make hard games have easier difficulty options, with claims that hard games are impossible for colorblind/handicapped gamers.

As stated before, I'm quite disappointed with TLOU2. Not condoning taking such extreme actions though. If you want to openly vent/discuss where the devs went wrong, there are many forums for it. This however, is unacceptable.

No one said they wanted a remake of the 1st game. A continuation of Joel and Ellie's story, if done well, would have been appreciated, but no one said it had to be all ponies and unicorns, just as the 1st game had its bleak moments.

Personally, I think if they did want to stay in the same universe, they should have just have a new cast of characters altogether, maybe intertwining somewhere with the old cast, but no more than a cameo appearance.

Real mature... In any case, I don't know how often it needs to be said that not liking LOU2's story does not equal only liking sappy, colourful stories. Many people like darker stories, if they're engaging enough to suck them in. LOU2 failed in that regard for me, not because I'm immature or can't handle Bambi's death...

Trickster - Japan just had an 85% drop in sales for the 2nd week... So I think they're past the initial euphoria.

@KyleLanders The majority of the people obviously didn't hate it. However, it would be nice if you and others on this site would stop denying that a large portion didn't like the game for a number of legitimate reasons.

Yes, only trolls and haters would rate it a 0, but this appraisal campaign from the acces media as well as folks defending the game as the 2nd coming of Jesus, have to resort to denial, categorizing and name calling (see sampsonon a few comments abov...

@dumahim - my mistake. I'm just saying the average Hollywood actress looks like 45-50kg and they're throwing around people of 90kg+ as if they're Steven Segal doing Aikido with his students :)

When trying to make that point, I wasn't referring to TLOU2 for the weight issue, more the inability to touch Nadine in U4 (though honestly she's probably 70kg+ of muscle), and her ability to outperform Nathan (who clearly has taken on "tanks" before, whe...

SunGod - just listing up the things that I noticed or read about. Seeing as I'm passionate about most ND games, it's natural that I'd be more inclined to research it more than the average game I own.

Back in the days, I was one of the first people to make Crushing walkthroughs for U2 and U3, but these are horribly outdated, without cuts and shot with my shitty external cam. Back then, the only thing getting me out of the experience was the unlucky series of even...
