An awesome looking game, hopefully it plays more like NG1 than its sequels.
I think Nintendo NX's visual fidelity should be a step ahead of anything seen on PS4 or Xboneone1 if its going to release in 2017. To get that kind of reaction again from the NX, the launch titles have to be just as pioneering as the N64 launch games were in terms of graphical 3D game presentation and to a lesser extent story. If Nintendo hopes to recapture the hardcore market they need eye bleedingly awesome graphical fidelity thats a step above even Current PC games with Ultra setttings. @greatness awaits, Sega always uses Nvidia hardware in their new arcade stuff. even HOTD4 came to PS3 first because of the ease of porting.
Shadow of the empire was AWESOME. I remember not really caring about SW when I was a kid but playing the N64 games definitely made me want to find out more about the SW stories.
but Archanglee, you wouldnt want to play an older starwars title like sega starwars arcade trilogy in VR?? dont tell me that wouldnt be immersive af ground up or not. hes talking about old titles that could be ported very cheaply and easily.
I would actually preferred if they just used the PS3 tech demo engine. In that one Cloud's arms didnt look so stringy. UE4 is kinda bland for a game like this.
back in the N64days nintendo had a crapton more 1st party games as well as Whole boatloads of amazing 2nd party studio games as well. the 2nd party studios arent really on wiiu at all
They need to use their P2P rendering network to make the sweetest tech demos ever. an entirely new level of fidelity than just current graphics at 1080p 60fps, they need to raise the bar on next gen 3D game presentation like they did in 1996 Nintendo with the lush world of Super Mario 64 that had children glued to the demo station at blockbuster video to it for hrs. Hopefully this is just a bottom of the barrel patent they found and NOT nintendo's final idea on the controller, that said, im personally more excited for their P2P shared rendering network which will probably take visuals of the NX to fidelity we've never seen before even on high end PCs in realtime at any resolution we've ever seen. Nintendo could raise the 3D game presentation bar once again just like they did in 1996 with Mario 64's trail blazingly Lush 3D Debut on the N64...
both were very futuristic and ahead of their times. both used a 2nd screen/ alt view mechanic but The PS3 is a close 2nd to my favorite console of all time, the Dreamcast. Most memorable system intro theme ever.
Dreamcast was already having more immersive graphics since 1999 with games like RE:Code Veronica where the characters' faces werent a scrambled mess of warping triangles like they were when RE:3 released that same year.
yup. YT, watching pirate movies straight from the browser, full quality bluray rips, used it more for a HTPC than a gaming system unexpectedly.

As someone who's favorite game of this generation is Mario Kart 8 I say RIP to the WiiU and Nintendo's kiddy image and onward with the hardcore oriented NX with its "aggressively marketed first party IPs". If Nintendo goes back to their raw and immersive pioneering 3D game presentation like they had with the N64 I can see the NX being a huge success. Imagine an NX launch Mario title that raises the bar for 3D video game presentation again just like Super Mario 64 did back in...
Uncharted 2 rez in multiplayer was sup 720p with some kind of supersampling effects but was still fun af.
Stupid. If anything they codenamed it N^x just like the N^64. just makes more sense for them to have it be a call back to either the (ĒN)64 or the (ĒN)E.S. Dont know how far up his ass he had to reach to get Nintendo "Infinite". Facepalm.

If so, those kinds of graphics will be pretty dated for a launch title. I expect NX games to be a much bigger leap over WiiU fidelity if its to be believed that they are using "cutting edge" hardware.
