I always get disagrees when I suggest this but I dont care anymore. Nintendo used to be pioneers at the forefront of digital presentation in the 90's. Pushing graphics AND gameplay to levels unseen in their competition with every successive generation WAS WHAT MADE NINTENDO. raising the bar of immersion, videogame storytelling and expression were their hallmark! It didnt just make them who they are today (a sad lazy shell of their former selves) it was them every time, all the time.

if they went back to innovating in graphics and presentation as well as gameplay like their old days I would buy a more powerful than PS4 level NX console for 500$

If they give us a cool tech demo for Zelda that blows away the cell shaded stuff and that embarrassing 2012 Zelda WiiU E3 tech demo that was just an uprezzed TP, I'll be sold. I think Nintendo should get the jump on Sony and Microsoft by making a slighty more powerful console than the xbone and re-release station4.
12GB of ram, gfx card with 2 GB of vram, good cpu and call it the Nx or the N^x like the N^64.
Put it out for 500$ Early next year and show Amazing looking launch titles like a Mario title that isn't super cutesy like back in the n64 days when Nintendo had attitude. Imagine a next gen Mario launch title looking like THIS next year: ...

Maybe a wireless VR system where a base is used to stream 3D visuals into upto 4 VR headsets so that people can play in the same room virtually. I'm also fine with a normal traditional console as long as it's powerful and the first party games go back to being not kiddy like in the 90's.

yup. thats because of how forward thinking the DC was. The xbone, not so much.. I personally dgaf about resolution but most xbone games are still military shooters and im so fucking done with the military industrial complex..

pretty cool for Xbowners (xbone owners) but if they think PS4 wont improve and reitirate on its own software past DX12's capabilities theyre "gonna have a bad time."

I think they should make the new console REALLY powerful to honor his memory. It's just the right thing to do, they can take creative liberties on it but a main reason people play videogames is to be IMMERSED. Just like when they used to innovate with graphical features no one had seen on the N64.
