It's just their 1st party games that are only on the windows store. But MS doesn't make a lot of games anyway.
If Microsoft stopped making xbox/games, it wouldn't even matter to them because gaming is a small part of microsoft is about. That's the problem with xbox. If there was no more xbox, gamers would miss out on halo, gears, forza. That's it.
All 3rd party games sold on xbox give a cut to Microsoft. Multiplat games are most of the software sales on consoles. Third party games like Titanfall which were "xbox exclusives" (it was also on pc) won't be windows store exclusives, because EA has their own game service on PC. xbox live is also free on pc, so they won't get subscription money from pc users. Do you think that microsoft would rather have more players playing their games or have more players playing their g...
xbox live is free for pc users so the $1500000000 is incorrect
@vega275
MS stopped crossplay with pc because they failed to get pc gamers to pay for GFWL, not because of an advantage with keyboard and mouse. The keyboard and mouse controls were not even good on that game. Hopefully it will work out this time. Nothing to get excited over until we see an actual cross platform game running on xbox though.
Why not show some actual gameplay with some movement and some combat? Standing still is not really stressing the gpu.
@dcbronco
Direct x is the graphics api for windows (not just games) and has been around before xbox.

"This was already the case on PC and was gonna happen anyways on console as they went online, and it also began with the Dreamcast so do your research. "
It may have been there for free to play games on pc but these "microtransactions" we see now were from the 360 generation. I remember Peter Moore was saying stuff like "you can even sell things for 10 cents on the xbox market pla...
It looks like graphics really do matter.
Microsoft buy AMD? Buying AMD will cost a lot of money. Microsoft is a software company, why would they buy AMD? You really think they will buy AMD just for xbox? Or do you think they want challenge intel and nvidia, who dominate the markets amd competes in.
Kinect games suck. What games are good for kinect? What games are microsoft making for kinect that look interesting?
The waterfall at 2:13 is freezing up on the xbox one!
PS4 draw distance is much better too.

" They can't just put Alan Wake on PC and then wonder why folks worry about their support, it needs to be all or nothing."
Microsoft did not put alan wake on pc. Remedy had to publish it themselves.

"If PC is considered a console then they've already won the console wars. "
Actually ms has very little of the pc gaming market. Sure, the pcs are running windows, but most you can get games from alot of places on pc. Ms only gets something if you buy it from their store. Even EA origin is way more popular than live on pc.
@shadowknight
Alan Wake for pc was published by Remedy.
They want to move hardware because they make money on all third party games sold on xbox. Which makes up most of the xbox library. All pc copies of call of duty sold on steam or amazon or any of the other places to buy games doesn't get them anything. Plus they get subscription fees for live on xbox.
Of course no one cared about sub hd games when gta sa came out, now people have hdtvs and not 480p crt tv.
@Ron_Danger
from his comment above, he isn't even a pc gamer.
"And I'm not a PC gamer but yeah they laugh at Console gamers arguing specs... I think it's pathetic myself."

GPU is the usually the main component for frames unless the game is heavily cpu bound like skyrim. which is why when they test for cpu bound the turn all the graphic settings low and set low resolution. With most games with graphics turned up cpu won't affect much. Obviously you aren't going to run a high end gpu on a bottom end cpu though because it would bottle neck.
gpu test with same cpu

Scorpio is probably using some form of AMD's polaris 10 gpu.It will probably share some games with xbox one after it launches but when the install base is large enough, it will have games not available on xbox one, since it's up to the developer. So yeah, it's their next gen console. Microsoft knows the xbox one is a lost cause, I think they're even losing to ps4 is the US. Which is why they put all of their games on win10 now, but before they would ignore...
