I don't think there is anything wrong with a 13 year old playing an 18 rated game. Its a non-issue here which is why it wasn't brought up.
How old were you when you first saw an 18 rated movie, or played an 18 rated game? It's only a guideline for potential buyers on the content of the game. Until he starts showing symptoms of addiction or violence that can be directly linked to video games, why shouldn't she keep buying games for her child?
What's with the epic 11 minute piece of music?
Maybe people feel your adding nothing to the conversation, or maybe people are expressing the opposite of your view that "I dislike uncharted". No one actually disagrees to inform you that you actually don't like uncharted.
My disagree is for the first reason.
I'm more of a quick and usable interface kinda guy myself. Imagine booting up your computer to be greeted by your second life character jizzing over a copy of BF3 as he turns on his virtual computer. It seems like an unnecessary abstraction.
Making the first thing you see on boot up a virtual representation of yourself having to walk over somewhere to use a menu system to then choose which game you want to play is to me the most redundant idea ever.
Music was good I thought. If you're not a fan I would recommend listening to Dangermouse's Beatles mix - http://www.youtube.com/watc... to ease yourself into the original which I now realise is actually a really good song.
Good for the target market anyway, the casuals, since they've already won you guys over.
I thought it was a GameBox720 timed exclusive?
You do actually start 'thinking with Portals' if you play too long!
Microsoft is definitely smarter with the way they push products. I know people who think the two GTA expansions are xbox exclusives and I wouldn't be surprised if everyone thought xbox was the only or at least best place to experience CoD also.
MS has won the pop war this gen, most likely due to the first few years where ps3 was criticised beyond belief. That negative press hurt Sony quite a lot as it informed people what to think.
I'm not here.
Really? Just watched it...lol. Then the only bad thing he did was break into a museum and knock out a few guards.
In UC1 he is a straight up treasure hunter who gets attacked by the bad guys and defends himself. In UC2, the only bad act he performs is breaking into the museum and killing a guard. Like most characters, he has a bit of an edge to him, but he's definitely not a bad guy.
Drake is as much of a bad guy as Sly Cooper is...
At least they're making it more realistic!
Her? lol
PS3 It only does... circumventing national laws.
Cool idea jony_dols. Definitely think they have to give some more time in between games.
I can't wait for a fully fledged Desmond game too. Modern day assassinations would have loads of possibilities.
I think Uncharted deserves the praise it has gotten... Not many games have the right mix of natural voice acting and fun gameplay. Great action set pieces in number 2 aswell. Not original, but that's not essential for every game to stand out.
I don't even think all the games you listed can be classed as franchises. Alan Wake is definitely not a franchise yet.
Plus a yearly change of names does not make a great game!
@GameSpawn
Do you actually know that Japanese business runs differently than everywhere else? Everytime someone mentions Japan and business, the word honour is thrown about like its 14th century feudal Japan. Really, companies in every country have to be seen as respectable and reliable, or no one will buy the products they sell.
You seemed to have generalised an entire nation and then refuted your assertions by saying "they still buy Apple computers like there...
You do realise that you don't have to be 18 or over to play an 18 rated game? You just can't buy it.
I'm sure you never watched or played an 18 when you were his age.
