You're right... you see it all the time in popular culture in America and in the UK. Films and tv make references to playing Xbox all the time now. Xbox is what all the kids play, and what all the celebs play.

I'll gladly take a hit in graphics to be able to have splitscreen online and coop. If a multiplayer is good fun, adequate graphics should be fine - see CoD.

I never understand why people do that? I have friends who used to play GTA3 and never unlocked the two other islands. They just use the flying car cheat to get over. What's the point of not playing through the story? Driving around doing random stuff gets boring much faster than doing missions.
I don't know why footie isn't popular in America. The whole world loves it, and it is so much fun to play! It only takes 3 people and you've got a kick-about on your hands (or feet should I say, meh-hay-hay).
Didn't Ray Liotta say the same? He got shafted cos he didn't realise how big Vice City was gonna be. Must be quite annoying when you're the main character in a GTA game and don't get paid fairly.

Tommy and CJ were definitely more cliché but were more endearing characters too. Mute characters can sometimes be awesome... look at Gromit.
They can't pass up on the chance of making millions of dollars for very little work (releasing old maps). They even charge for the skins for previous games.
I wish more devs were like Valve, or Rockstar, they do DLC a little better.
Uncharted 3 multiplayer is amazing, but I will not be buying these. There's enough maps as it is. Only two weeks after release too?

MORE about fun and gaming. There was a time when this was true but not this gen. Obviously graphics need to improve for the games to get better but we all know that too much emphasis is put on graphics.
I would much rather people argued about the gameplay of their favourite games, why they love them so much and why they keep playing them over and over.

I've noticed recently with the BF3 vs. MW3 debate that the engines were brought up a lot more than gameplay. And this gen in general has been awful for nerds and their pixel counting.
You kind of make it seem like pretty good value. 16 maps plus SP, plus coop, plus spec ops, plus new weapons all for $60 when 4 maps can be sold for $15.
A game can still provide value even if its rinse and repeat. Considering CoD can provide over 100 hours of entertainment, it's pretty good value. And it's not like you have to buy one every year. That's why footie games are good fun and good value if you're into them, but you'd have to be an idiot to buy ...
I haven't see one piece of constructive criticism from all the negative comments in all these articles and all those metacritic reviews.
It is hard to give that when loads of folks haven't even played it, and those that have haven't even played it long enough to give a full review.
It's pretty easy to tell who wants the game to improve and who just wants to kill it off.

Go to metacritic now and look at a handful of the low reviews. You should immediately notice that these are new members who have just one review...a negative MW3 one. A few also have a perfect 10 for, yep you guessed it BF3, surprise surprise. Man, these people are lame.

Talbot was most likely wearing a bullet proof vest, Nate was raised at the 'Sir Francis Orphanage' so most likely would have been influenced by Francis Drake, having no suspense as to whether Sully was dead or not would suck, having a mercenary kill drake meaning the game was over would suck...
