That's exactly what Heavenly Sword did. It used the SPU's to handle having all those enimies on screen at one time without touching the main RAM.

that's going to find it's way to a courtroom.

I would rather them cut down on piracy then charge me extra cash for using more then a certain amount of bandwidth in a month. Still ... this is more then just a little intrusive. This is borderline barcode on the back of you neck stuff. What's stopping them from letting the government see this information? Uncle Sam and AT&T don't need to know who my favorite porn star is.

anyone who thinkgs digital distribution is the next wave of the future might want to rethink things if this becomes and indsutry standard amongst all providers.

I don't think this will see the return of dial up though. Most people won't notice this since they don't download massive amounts of information.

I was just wondering if someone had something a little more quantitative then "a lot".

@ above .... 25/40 MB per min is a lot.

60 min x 40 mb/min =2400 mb/hour

I don't play every day but, I know I play 6-8 hours a week. Not always online but, still ... that's a lot. Worst case scenario I'm burning 19GB+ in a week of banwidth.

it could be cheaper for me. However, does anyone know how much bandwidth online gaming uses? I'm on COD4 or Resistance for 4 hours at a time sometimes.

when you so clearly are spinning this in the negative. Ironic ... look in the mirror fanboy.

"However, the 360 has tons of games to split the purchasing dollar.
Cod4 on 360 was up against, bioshock and halo 3.

On ps3 this game was against......
Nothing.
Don't include R&C and Uncharted as they all floped."

PS3 also had UT3 and the Orange Box (which did bad). Don't say Uncharted was a flop as it's sold over a million in a couple months. Unlike most of the FUD you spread, the PS3's user base does buy games and not just...

for the PS3 please. Seriously ...

for certain games it's nice. I like racing games with rumble. FPS are nice too. It helps alert when you're being shot from behind. Yes ... it is nice that it's coming to shut some people up.

I want another controller or two and don't want to buy them without rumble.

not that I wouldn't mind but, egging this on only makes us look as bad as the mgs4 multi people. Who cares ... there's plenty in 08. Everyone just be happy.

HD-DVD camp is extreamly pot committed.

in all fairness BD is dominating and, these "survey" numbers aren't indicitve of actual sales in the market. This article is almost laughable.

but, if it were to come, I wouldn't complain in the slightest bit.

R&C acutally sold that many in only a couple of days. The game was released at the end of the month. The data was twisted into poor sales when in reality the game has done well.
