it's gaining on the 360 in the states as well. Sure it's still being outsold but, not by margins of 2 to 1. I think the 360 outsold the PS3 by 50k last month in the states. Percentage wise, the PS3 is catching up in the states and has surpassed the 360 on a worldwide scale.
Quite different from the predictions of various xbox fanclub members who were claiming death of the PS3 in october and then in december of last year.
VG isn't accurate and should never be taken as written in stone. Still ... it serves as a good point of reference. It at least had the PS3 showing gains on the 360 and getting rather close. It's good news to hear that it's acutally outsold the 360 though.

Sure I figured that destructable environments took more time but I never thought of it from a story line standpoint. If the game is linear, being able to blow stuff up becomes more problematic.
I've played some games that use this to an extent. COD4 lets you shoot through walls. Some of the cover in Drakes gets blown away. I think the first real title to showcase this ability will be KZ2. Shoould be awesome too since they have a cover system as well.

games were both 720p. Not a framerate problem with either title though. If they've upgraded the engine even more, I would assume it's possible. Still ... I'm expecting 720p with 60fps.
I'm sure a large portion of those men who claimed they would give sex up spend or have spent well over 1500$ in 6 months trying to get poon. Bar nights, Dinners, Movies etc etc. It all adds up. Seriously ... it's only 250 a month. When I was single, I would spend that in half the time.

has always been a trojan horse of sorts for BD. Some people got upset that Sony is "forcing" the format upon us. Some people realized the potential of all this and got in early. Either way, the decision is working out for Sony. Had HD-DVD failed, this article would be a lot different since BD functionality would be negated and it's gaming capabilites would be it's only appeal. Now it's appealing on multiple fronts and it's showing with increasing sales.

Having that game end up in the hands of an adolecant isn't the games fault but rather that of the parents. Why should we as adult gamers be held to the confines of today's youth? You look at your one local best buy and assume that since there are PS3's on the shelf, it's doing bad. The 360 according to NPD numbers only outsold the PS3 by 50k last month. The PS3 is gaining in the 360 in the states regardless of your local best buy being stoked. 50k isn't much at all. The 360 used to win by margins of over 100k a monthin NA. It used to also win in Europe. Now ... the PS3 is winning in Europe and killing the 360 in japan by more then the difference in NA.
