software is comparable in a when looking at percentages rather then totals. The 360 does have a larger userbase remember. If the PS3 was even equall to software sales, MS would be having some serious problems.

POG, Mart and I can't remember how many others were claiming death of the PS3 last year. They claimed Europe, They claimed the US and they laughed at us PS3 fans when sales weren't postive for us at all. All we had was Japan and even that was barely breaking 10k mark and dipped below the 10k mark at one point in time.

Americans have always been the biggest purchasers of the 360. To let your largest area of sales fall flat on supply shouldn't have to do with large demand. The system has been out two years and production should be a lot more refined now then when they launched. They should be able to meet the demand as they did over the holidays. I tend to agree more with your point of putting out reliable hardware as the reason behind lowered stock. I also sense a certain amount of damage control here.

Personally I could care less if the 360 sells more then the PS3. As long as the PS3 does well then I'm ok. A rational 360 fan should think along those same lines.
I've already seen plenty with that 10 minute gameplay vid on the PS store. I still have it saved and watch it every now and then to get pumped up. Needless to say I have the a lot of confidence in this game.
What I really want to see is some RFOM 2 and some KZ2 and some FFXIII and some Resident Evil.
I know that generally GDC isn't a showcase of shoftware but, I can hope.

Did anyone see 300? It was percieved an artistic delight and dislplayed plenty of nudity, sex and violence. It's about the closet thing I could think of in main stream media that compares to GOW. Why a game, which will be rated mature, should get so much more attention for doing so much less is beyond me.

They shouldn't give up. They're penetrating that market better then last gen. Even though it isn't much, it's still market share gains for them. Push the console as much as they can this gen too and the next gen will be more warmly welcomed.
