as much as I like some of the JRPG games and other Japanese influenced games, I have to admitt ... they have some rather odd taste.
This above all else shows how much Insomniac loves gaming and the communnitty, Forward progress FTW.
I already had respect for them after seeing the developemtal progress they made with RFOM (launch title) to Ratchet and to RFOM2. These guys are machines. This here ... pretty much just made them my most respected devs. On top of being great devs, they're class acts as well. This is something the WHOLE COMMUNITTY can benifit from and shows a greater concern for gaming then for personal gain. MASSIVE props to Insomniac.
I don't know who thought that would be a good idea but, if they don't want to give us ingame XMB soon then, they should have never poked fun like they did. It's almost a slap in the face.

his review of Bioshock was absolute trash as well. A review is supposed to come from a source that is as unbiased as they can be. He's already admitted personal bias and preference for one thing over an other, making anything he says worth squatt. The sound in the game is amazing. My surround sound system has bullets whizzing at me from all corners and as the camera angle swings around, so do the origon of the bullets. The track that plays is perfect for the environment. The animations were top notch. The gameplay takes one of the cooler aspects of a great game (gears) and adds to it some platforming. I need to get better at knifing people instead of shooting them. Just takes one more split second of thought and soon it becomes second nature. As of now though ... I see a body ... I'm shooting. lol
I sneak around with a silenced P90. I can't tell you how many times I've taken out 3=5 players without them even knowing because I was silenced. I have orverkill too so, I use my M16 or M4 with a red dot to hit the further targets. After I shoot with those though ... I get the hell out.
cod4, RFOM, Motorstorm, UT3, R6V, Warhawk were all PSN enabled games.
Still ... I wouldn't say this game is a flop. It's sold well enough to make it a success. I, like you, just feel as though online racers will be overshadowed by online shooters.
Still ... we did only just finish the first year. Two really good looking JRPG's are coming this year(at least I pray) as well. FFXIII and White knight Story both look good.
I'll give MS credit though. They've done a much better job at trying to capture other areas of the market this gen then they did last gen.
lol ... I still have the love for the deathmatch games. I like zones/territories/domination style games a lot.
as far as your COD4 comment goes, I think Halo's staying power rests within the insanity of it's fans. That isn't to say they're insane but rather just insanley addicted to Halo. This article wasn't about standalone players. It's about MS's add-on. With the exception of it being a collectable or someone having a HD-DVD burner, there is NO reason to buy this for the 360 as it already upscales DVD's and NO future content will be made for it.

That's great an all but, the 360 already upscales DVD's without the MS add-on drive. This drive is usefull for only playing HD-DVD material or giving your 360 drive a break if you're super anal. This is why it's not worth 20 bucks.
BTW ... none of what you said makes this any less of an inventory blow out.
