Well yeah ... if you start at ground zero then, anything you do is fantastic. Everyone knows I'm a PS3 fan but, this ingame communication and music crap should have been there day 1. Any LAUNCH DAY PS3 owner like myself knows, there was a serious droubt of not only software but also PSN content and quality firmware updates as well. I'll give you that. The hardcores hopped up on the first HD console available. That was the 360. It's also a reason the attach rates are so high for the 360. The PS3 isn't doing bad considering it has half the userbase of the 360 but, the percentages are still higher for the 360.

Insomniac also released coding for free to developers having a hard time witht he cell. Those guys are amazing devs. Like you said ... it wasn't a bad showing, it just wasn't geared towards the consumer at all.
iTunes hasn't killed the CD. It's hurt the CD but it hasn't killed it. The funny thing is that MP3's are a hell of a lot easier to download and store then HD movies too. People with 56k modems can download an MP3 but would take a year to download 4 HD movies. Plus ... iTunes and MP3 are much further along then DD of HD movies. I can pretty easily take my iPod to a friends house or, hook it up in their car. This isn't the case for HD movies yet. A lot has to happen before DD of HD movies becom...

and that your biased against anything PS3, I don't see this is really a bad thing. Stuff like textures and lighting were an issue because it was a launch title and the engine wasn't as advanced. Now ... after Ratchet and some more time, I'm sure thing will look top notch. They do seem to be making leaps and bounds of improvement with each new installment.

Because of this you and I can just look at this add without interest in the video game and, thank the dear marketers for offering up something of quality to look at. lol
what they've come up with. I'm sure they've made improvements just like insomniac and such. I can't wait to see the physics and crashes and movement. The game was always beautiful but, it really shined when in motion and completely up in the mix with the other cars.

assault riffle in Halo? It looks like a carbon copy. I don't know why but, I've never really been into this title. Plus, this year I have KZ2 and RFOM2 to quell my FPS cravings. Come June, I'll have MGS4 as well. Until those come out, I'll be more then happy with COD4 and the eventual map packs.

so far BD has been adopted at a faster rate then DVD. People want to use their HDTV's. They don't know that 1080p is only useful above 42-45 inches. All they know is, BD movies look 10x better then DVD on those HDTV's when they walk into bestbuy or circut city or wherever. People want to move to the next format and will do so as more and more people aquire new HDTV's. People want a physical format as well.
