I know. Creativity and origionality would still be left up to the dev to create something people want but, all games would benifit from this on a graphical and technical stanpoint. I really think this is puts Insomniac in a class of their own. Not only are they good at what they do but, they learned lessons about sharing from their mothers when they were younger too.

was a much bigger OOOOPS then Assasins Creed was. Not saying AC wasn't a good game, as it did sell very well but, GTA4 is a monster.
first game in the series, I think they need to put more effort into it. The PS3 fanbase was already assuming the game would come. Sony doesn't think they need to put out as much effort as MS to see the type of sales they want.

MS knows that Japan is still important and they're trying to gain market share.
Several odd things to note here. First being that, what dev would release this as exclusive to the 360 in Japan? The game is going to hit the most limited amount of people that it could by going this route. I wonder if there is some sort of a deal MS has with the dev team.

The engine was the most insane fun I've had playing a racing game. If they have improved their engine as much as Insomniac, then I'm going to be tickled pink.
If they have an in-car view that shows the dashboard I'll be stoked as well. I know they're adding split screen which already makes it 5x better.

The content is great. Harcore fans of the series will get to play some of the game before it's final version is released. Poly makes some money. The online gets tested. It's all good.

I'm aware that I would be getting my monies worth as far as content. I still don't want to buy two versions of the game in a year. Especially when you consider that the online aspects are testing grounds as well. There just too many other games that I want to save my money for.

You care if, you want the 360 to gain more market share and see some sales growth. If you don't care about that, then there really isn't much of a reason I guess.
BTW ... with a high user base comes exclusives. Software devs love a console that sell a lot of hardware because they need to sell their software.
I don't know if toshiba is taking them back and using them as scrap. Isn't HD-DVD still around in the PC market? I know not for movies but, for storage mediums? Who knows ... I just have a hard time thinking that companies are willing to loose cash on these things just for us, the consumer.
It would be nice to see a price drop before some of the killer apps that are coming out this year. Should be an interesting year indeed.
