Sony really needs wise up and start taking their PR and media relations and control seriously. In many ways the PS3 is doing so well despite Sony's marketing efforts.
The PS3's exclusive game graphics are so far beyond anything on the 360, the massive first party developer lineup is putting out so many huge AAA exclusives now that it is overshadowing Sony's massive failure to set the tone and agenda of console media coverage in the first two year's of the console's life. ...
The press supposedly was able to play the what was shown, or something similar, in the the amazing trailer they just released. That with the news that the game will be playable at E3 certainly sounds like 2nd half of 2009 is very likely.
Now where does it say that in the ad? And how would someone who doesn't know anything about Killzone 2 know that those are the real Killzone 2 graphics and not just marketing CGI?
"I agree, the only 2 things that need added are the release date and a message, somewhere stating that it is hpw the game actually looks and not "graphics representative of gameplay" like other games do."
Totally agree.
Also a link to a Killzone 2 marketing site where people can view the insane Ballet of Death and other footage.
I think the problem with the ad is it is probably more impressive to people who already know about Killzone 2. There were little details that I only noticed on my second and third watching.
Also there is no mention that these are the real Killzone 2 graphics and not just your standard marketing CGI.
Hopefully there will be more substantial ads on the way that show more of the insane Ballet of Death type footage - even if it has to been toned down.
How the hell is this pathetic joke of a site not banned? It's just some little kid that was banned from sites like neogaf for fabricating fakes sales numbers.
The PS2 crossed 140 million worldwide in the middle of 2008. It hasn't even hit 99 dollar yet and is still selling quite well at 130. It should easily hit 150-160 million by the time it goes out of production.
It was released back in March of 2000. That makes it almost 9 years old and it is still getting major RPGs like Persona 4.
It is hard to imagine a SD console still being sold or let alone still selling well 7 years from now.
Valkyria Chronicles White Knight Chronicles Demon's Souls Persona 4 Disgaea 3 Shin Megami Tensei for the PS3
already overloaded with RPGs
then there are all of the PSP rpgs, PS1 RPGs like Wild Arms and Suikoden to play on the PSP, plus the giant backlog of PS2 RPGs most people still have to work through.
