The Mordin thing was awesome, thats the way you go out.
I thought the thane thing would be not as good but in the room with his kid it got good.
For a LOL moment...I walked into talk to garrus once and, well I wont spoil it.
Poor poetry Krogan dude...little things like that were kind of emotional too. Seeing stuff from the other games, some stuff didn't work out so well some did.
Wait is this a "Im sick of hearing about the ending after two weeks, so I will write an blog about the ending" blog? (I don't know for sure as I don't desire to give that site any hits). If it is then the article should defend the ending of ME3 as it shares the same logic.
Actually no, my problem with the endings is they are stupid, badly written, make no freaking sense and do not follow the rules established in the ME galaxy. Its a shame because they did such a good job in the rest of the game and then just crapped out at the end because either they didnt know what to do or they were "trying" to be "cool" and "artistic" and failed miserably.
Yes.
Though I would not ask for a refund as the other 99% of the game was great. I would ask for permission to go to Bioware and smack some logic into a few people so the next thing they write actually makes freaking sense but I assume that request would be denied.
Gaming media is quickly getting the reputation that a lot of other media reviewers have. The ones that praise anything dark and artsy and slam anything that's actually fun to watch. Plus they seem to be quite tight with PR departments for the gaming companies.
This is not true for all of them, ofcourse, but the whole Gertsman (whatever) at Gamespot thing kind of highlighted the issue.
Everyone's of course entitled to their opinion (though some of th...
Actually they screen test movies before they release, and it is not unusual to change the ending after it test badly.
Now of course that doesn't, and shouldn't happen with indie or artsy movies... but then ME is a blockbuster not an indie or artsy movie. These guys are expecting to make money.
Based on the DLC pitch they throw at you at the very end of the end (should not be a spoiler as it is not in game). I assume they want to sell more stuff to the fans. If everyone stops playing the game because of a crappy ending, then those sales are going to be hard to come by. I bought DLC for ME1 and ME2 but at this point see no point for ME3.
And then you came to a comment board and threw a tantrum because other people may or may not get something they want. Nice.
Spin, spin, spin the globe.
If he thought there was any indication to what happened to individual characters AFTER the conclusion then he must be a really really bad story teller. Hell, there's not even any decent indication of what happened to the GALAXY let alone individual characters in it. Or did he think the little incoherent dialogue just before the end was enough. It was barely enough for me to realize what path lead to the selection I wanted.
Until it's in the game it's just fan fiction and people seeing Jesus face in Doritos.
I do like the theory (it actually makes the ending make sense) and HOPE that it turns out to be true. Though I am not sure I am willing to pay for the ending of the game after I spent $80 on the CE. (That was the first and last time I do that I think).
Spoiler I guess
His death is irrelevant. I am not angry or sad at the death. The ending was just stupid and didn't make sense. If he had died and I was sad at least there would be SOMETHING. But no, there is nothing, it is just utter crap. (Unless you actually believe the real fan theories, then its cool, just not finished....which again is crap.)
Actually, you can set the game to take the helmet off in cut scenes. It worked for all the armor I wore.
Gears of War 3 had a better more coherent ending then Mass Effect 3 thats for sure. As for as further stories in the "Mass Effect" universe. Nope, they pretty much ended any chance of that with the end. Now they will just have more games in a universe....that is not the Mass Effect universe.
Whats funny is the stupid after credits thing (which actually made the ending even lamer) could have still been done with an ending that made sense, thus setting the next game...
I agree with Liuqahs15.
The ending wasn't sad, it wasn't happy, it was just there...stupid and there. They did such a good job through the rest of the game evoking emotion and at the end of the game when they could have delivered a happy or even sad major emotional impact the only thing the game left me with was WTF and How TF did so and so get there....WTF?
The only shades of gray in that ending is in whether Bioware actually considers it complete or...
After finishing the game last night. I am now on the "game ending was horrible" band wagon. It did't make any sense, was poorly done and the thing after the credits just made it even worse. I will not be replaying the ending of this game or buying any DLC (what would be the point to buy DLC to "add" to a story that ends that badly). I also have a hard time seeing how I would find any interest in any future "mass effect" games since.
Whatever...
I did not disagree. But for what its worth one of the devs on their forum gave the impression this is a Sony side issue.
I am sure that once they get these details worked out the PS3 guys will get the same stuff in future promotions. And who knows, maybe they will have a promotion just for them.
Play silver this weekend and get a partial extraction and you will get one free victory pack. If everyone (in the ME3 community) kills 1 million brutes (everyones kill count totaled) then next tues everyone will get at least one N7 weapon in a pack.
Everybody's going to be playing silver this weekend. Get used to low level characters joining. At least until they get their pack. I guess they can kill brutes in Bronze after that.
Games been out a week. I doubt everyone has had the chance to finish it. People who can play 6 hours a day and on the weekends, maybe, but most people only play a few hours a week.
*Note I have been playing to midnight every night but still am not done. But that is primarily because the weather has been nice and my dogs demanded to actually be outside (stupid dogs ;)) and I had some maintenance issues on the house that needed to be resolved. Oh and I have played a significan...
I really dont think MOST games are art, neither are most movies or TV shows. They are Products, meant to selll to the masses. Art is something you do for yourself and if society likes it maybe you can make money on it, but you certainly dont do it for money. MOST games, movies, TV shows and now a days most books are done to make money. There are still those in all of those generas that are done for the person themselves and their vision and Indi games and films and if they make money they m...
