Yeah because being caught in a statsis bubble or being flung through the air wouldn't be annoying or frustrating at all.
Team deathmatch....Vanguard spam fest who can charge and Nova first....oh Asari Statsis/charge combo, insta-death.
"I can understand that point, but there are a lot of people who do voice work that aren't exactly professionals."
Freddy Prince Jr. ;)
Little too late for ME3 and from what I understand waaayyy too early for ME4. Of course what I have "heard" could be wrong.
Mass Effect 3 is the one game I am really waiting for. SSX looks good but is going to have to wait. Heck prototype 2 and Ghost Recon will have to wait too unless I get sick of Me3 by then.
Developers are not unbiased, this article is as worthless as any Preview. Lots and lots of games preview well and end up stinking.
Don't get me wrong, I hope ME3 is great as ME1 and ME2 are among my favorite games of all time. But lets just call the article what it was....marketing.
How is PS3 any less casual then the xbox?
Your argument may have had some validity (if fairly typical of the superior-than-thou PC gamer) if you had just left it about PC but mentioning PS3 as somehow not a system attracting casual audiences just knocks it all out of the water.
I was reading a thread discussing that and it seemed the general consensus was that TDM may not work that well or be that much fun in this game. As they said can you imagine your character getting hit with a Stasis, warp, lift, or throw? Talk about slow death animation...you would just sit there/fly around while the other people shot you.
So that was not the article I was expecting. I was thinking they would come up with real bad ideas like the two who posted above me but instead it was all just goofy fake crap.
I liked the sound. I kept getting this sense of a 1960s-1970s scifi movies. While I don't necessarily consider those movies "classics" there was just something surreal about it... like a "this cant be happening" kind of dream.
I enjoyed the demo. And even though I am one of the ME fans that was not happy with the inclusion of multi-player, thinking it is unnecessary, will stink, and will take away from the very important single player, I must say I am finding it quite entertaining and am actually now excited for it. I would like to see what further options exist for it in the full game (how many maps, what other enemies) and how it will tie in to the single player. (still doesnt mean that single player didnt have...
Guess I know what I am getting after ME3....going to be a busy next couple of months.
Looks pretty good, but I don't see a lot of taking cover. Is it pretty much all run and gun? The cover grab was really cool though.
Hold the Line!!!! Hold the Line!!!
I saw Jacob, I thought he wasnt supposed to be in this one.
Kadien, Jacob, Liara, Miranda, Samara, Anderson, new guy with the voice actor that has nothing in common with the characters look, and was that Legion or just a normal Geth on the lift?
oh and Joker.
"The gameplay in Skyrim is, objectively speaking, awful."
Objectively : "not influenced by personal feelings, interpretations, or prejudice; based on facts; unbiased:"
The first statement quoted is no more objective then me saying "I found Skyrim gameplay to be great fun and addictive". Which is true (for me..and others at my workplace) as I (we) have played it over 200 hours (and have had a great time discussing our adventures)...
He mentions Skyrim and something about cheese but I found that after too long a session in skyrim I may see a plant with colored petals and have an urge to pick them.
When I played too much Crackdown (first one) or Assassins Creed sometimes I would look at a building and wonder the best way to climb it.
And when I play a lot of racing games I tend to look at cars and wonder how they would perform and if I would like to drive them (no I do not actually have an...
Skyrim really is a different type of game. Sure its a fantasy RPG but its a big open world where you can wander around all you want and pick up whatever you want, hell play an NPC if you want (boring but you can do it).
Reckoning is more of the story driven RPG. There is not the vast open world but the frames that you would see in Fable, Dragon age, or an older game like Diablo . You can only explore the frame and only where the invisible walls are not.
Both...
I loved Daggerfall and will always remember it. Walking through the snow, lost in the forest while snowed into my dingy old apartment (good times good times) The greater audience will probably remember Skyrim the way they remember Morrowind and be waiting for the next Elder Scrolls game because of it. I agree with KFox109 that Oblivion will not be remembered as much because it was not as good.
For blizzard games that reynod declared the most memorable I remember starcraft (...
Maybe some people are not reviewing until they "finish" to their satisfaction. Better then people reviewing having only played a few hours.
I'm worried about how Bioware will end it and slightly worried about them messing with the personalities of the allies (ala DA2 [both in ending and character]). Otherwise I have little worries, judging by the MP the gameplay may even be more fun then ME2 and they re-added/upgraded some inventory stuff from ME1 so all should be good.
