I liked Enslaved a lot but I think the pro reviewers are hyping it a bit much (which I guess counter-balances some of the Castlevania fans who feel the need to bash it.... no one on this thead yet but in other forums i have read).
For instance who did you really care for in this game and how is that any different then caring for say...Master Chief and Cortana (sure she was an AI but at least not a selfish little brat). Monkey was cool and I felt bad for him being in the sit...
It's a decent game and a horrible review. It isnt horrible because of the content, I couldnt really tell much of what the content was because I was too distracted by the really loud game video and the review voice which sounds like it came from one of those applications that translate the written word. I don't think a human recorded that.
Gears 1 is still one of my favorite games this generation. I do not think it was overrated.
Perfect Dark Zero now that trash was overrated.
I will get both eventually but after playing the Castlevania demo I think I am going to stick with my original plan and get Enslaved first. Then after Fallout and Fable and COD are done I will go back for Castlevania.
I will be getting both (Enslaved and LoS) eventually but I am only getting one now since Fallout and Fable are so close to release.
I was torn but I think my choice is going to be Enslaved. The story seems to be the big selling point so I prefer to play it before the spoilers start making it into general conversation. LoS may have a decent story but it's not what people are talking about in the reviews so if it gets spoiled then no biggie.
Plus, Lo...
I didnt play one but meant to go back for it and Risen. Would it be worth it or should I just wait for II? Anyone?
Probably just as well due to all the other games coming out at the same time. Maybe I will consider getting it full price in Jan.....if they fixed all the issues from 1.
"It's the only way you can get it right now."
So after the beta test is done I will get it when it becomes their standard controller with colored buttons and sold without the play and charge kit. May be 6 months to a year but if it passes beta it will be their standard controller at some point.
I don't think people missed out on portable or PC games because of Halo Reach. I thinks it's more likely they don't have the portable in question and don't do a lot of PC gaming in general.
Note I am sure those who have portables and good gaming PCs love their systems so this this is not a slam just an observation. Outside of the really really REALLY diehards not everyone has all the systems (including portables) and a gaming PC.
I am always happy when developers pay attention to the small details and redecorating your house to rent it out for more was a small detail of Fable 2. As long as they impove the big details just as much then this should again be an excellent game.
Another small detail I would have liked in 2. If they are going to build a statu of me for helping save the world....they could at least include the dog, damit.
Oh and I wish RDR would have had more details l...
As long as my disks are safe and I can get the out without feeling like I am going to crack them in half (stupid square centers) I don't care what case they use. The planet wont have to worry about them again until I die...then what do I care.
I won’t be back-peddling. Motion control for “hard core” games is still a gimmick and I don’t see it changing any time soon. Sure the motion controls are OK for party games or exercise stuff (mostly for casual players like moms and little kids) but I still don't want it for hard core games.
The only exceptions I could think of where I would want it in a hardcore game would be something like voice recognition or head tracking for camera movement. Mostly I will just pref...
Don't worry. Its a preveiw, no one says anything on previews anyway.
I already have cards from RDR. Wouldnt mind having the coin though. I tend to use the Flip a coin to decide things a lot. :)
Seems obvious that they would have arcade games that work with Kinect. Those were originally setup for the casual types and they are definitly trying to get more casuals with Kinect. The only question is how hard it is to program for Kinect. If Microsoft has some good tools then I would expect to see Indie games with Kinect interface as well.
Meh I got the first one cheap. If you could get past the bad frame rate and have tolerance for bad story, dialogue and voice acting it could be quite entertaining.
There was a lot to do, lots to explore, lots to collect. The dialogue and voice acting were so bad that it was actually really funny in a MST3K kind of way. I caught myself repeating lines and talking back to the character when he said something stupid...which was much of the time.
I am looki...
This is the bundle I was waiting for. Now if only they threw in the new controller and a good game.... OK any one of the halfway decent games I missed.
hmmm maybe I hold out and see if we get a Gears 3 or Mass Effect 3 bundle...hmmmm..
I need to get my Mass Effect 1 back so I can start another playthrough with all the DLC I missed and then start into 2 with all the DLC I have missed. I need to do this a couple of times so I have a nice selection of characters for when 3 comes out. I love this franchise.... I hope EA doesn't screw it up like SciFi screwed up StarGate SG1.
This really doesnt seem news-worthy unless Best Buy is setting up demos for it. Otherwise it seems like business as usual. In fact I thought you could already preorder it from Best Buy.
I read a PC review and they indicated you are not so much playing the game as watching the game be played. They compared it to being the little brother being dragged behind the big kids and not being able to do any of the cool stuff.
So if I get this at all it will be when its nice and cheap. Pitty too as the graphics look really good.
