Mmmm....I think it's too soon to say. Especially with such a simple "one-liner" that can be manipulated to mean many things. Praise from Insomniac means little, especially after Resistance 2.
Now if the praise came from Guerrilla Games or any competing 3rd Party like Epic Games, then you know ND did well and then some.
It's not about the price. We all can afford $60 if we want to, since we pay much more for hardware. The point is that Activision thinks they can screw around with us PC gamers and get away with it. That they can tell us to bend over and take it because they think they hold all the cards.
Expect November 24th to be one epic day for gamers everywhere that will make even EA roflmao.
That is what a "real tekken commercial" is like.
You think too much about things that don't matter. Uncharted 2 is a good game, media thinks so too. End of story.
Yeah seriously, prejudice much?
Speaking of AI, does Halo not get a mention?
I remember in ODST, I was fleeing from Brutes and suddenly they pop up from the side ready to pounce. The Hammer Brute AI in ODST is ****ing relentless!
Disagree, the #1 pick was designed to be awkward. If the player felt awkward after seeing that scene, then the story-director and his team did a good job.
If anything else, that scene contributed greatly to the overall plot. That and the whistling. Tidus isn't my favorite protagonist, but he's sure as not the worst.
While ToD Mods give off the best effect in Crysis, there's only so much you can do with lighting mods before the limit is reached. Not trying to downplay the achievements of Crymodders everywhere, but just know that before running off with false hope.
In order to get that kind of look in Campaign, one modder must look after all ToD configs in each level set. IF you check out the mod-level "Photorealism", such details much be put into the assets that require much more ...

I mentioned Demon's Souls, so that I don't get attacked by PS3 fanboys because people on N4G are quick to judge. By my logic, the more a developer can offer that appeals to my preferences the more likely they are to get a purchase from me. I don't buy games just because they only have one of the things I like, but many. If I'm going to have to pay $60 to get one game, I'll make sure that I'm getting exactly what I want, or most of it before I make the purchase. If no...
If I can confirm that Uncharted 2 is about 12 hours on a casual normal run, then I vow to buy the game "new". (although, that's a bit too optimistic this-gen).
I do agree that part of the beauty of SP games is replaying and reliving the experience over and over again. Heavenly Sword is the perfect example of a near masterpiece gamer marred by short content. Everything about that game was excellent except for the 4 hour SP experience. I say this because ND brings out t...
Ah, you're an Aussie Kaim. That alone explains alot already. You have my sympathies on that. I'm glad we statesman don't get screwed over like that, but sorry for your situation.
For the record, I'm playing Demon's Souls right now. That should clear up some things. To me, a $60 purchase on SP alone is 8-10 hours on Normal for a game like Uncharted 2. The fact that Uncharted 2 has no split-screen definitely affects my purchase. So if I'm going to buy an SP-based game, I want it to have long legs.
I'm not buying Uncharted 2. I'll wait until it's cheaper or pick it off someone else. Mainly because I don't intend to play MP, so I don't want to pay for something I won't use.
What did they destroy? It plays fine for me. Elaborate some more?
This would've been cooler if Doughnut Drake persisted, even in cut-scenes. Ala MGS4. It's funny wearing the Otacon mask during cut-scenes.
The 7th SPU is reserved for PS3's OS usage, like XMB. And the 8th SPU is disabled to produce more CPU chips. Low yields per waffle is a bad thing because that's money wasted for uhh.."retarded" CPUs that can't be used.
If a game pushes a system to the max, that's not exactly a good thing. The article title is misleading. What the article title should say is "Uncharted 2 tech paves way for future PS3 improvements".
Unfortunately, CoD:MW2 PC is on the 24th, as I feared from the other article on N4G. *sigh*
This is some bullsh!t.
Piracy sells consoles because cheap people want free games thinking that the costs of DVDs will outweigh the cost of consoles. Each console in the house sells XBLM items that nets Microsoft money. It sells controllers, headsets, DLC add-ons and blah blah. Microsoft can easily track the IP.
1. They take the IP from their server.
2. They subpoena the ISP into giving the home address the IP address corresponds to.
3. ????
4. Pirate loses indefinitely.
