The comment section today is just...angry.
I'm skeptic of the funding goals.....I thought it was just 250k. What's going on that could possibly cost 3mil?
Holy shit. Someone actually read it. That's worthy of a bubble+.
That's a sad way to go. 87 years old only to get a bullet in the back of your head. Not exactly 100 worst ways to die, but it's up there on my personal list.
That's not true: recall back with the Xbox that was running a modified Geforce 3 GPU, and it was able to play Doom 3 pretty well, compared to a PC at the time that needed at least a Geforce FX GPU to run competently: 'slightly-modified' is an understatement here. If you get into the more nit and grit like Xenos GPU having its own embedded EDRAM for DX10 AA, or the PS3 RSX GPU having a higher GFLOP than the actual G71 core its based on (400 vs 380 >Geforce 7800GTX). The referenc...
You should play Rise of Nightmares. That game convinced me there's a future for Kinect, but only if people are open minded about the idea. That game is good and a rare horror game. It wouldn't surprise me if you never heard of it.
I guess in a way, we shouldn't be surprised. I recall the ideal spec for BF3 was a GPU with at least 2GB of VRAM for Ultra textures alone. Perhaps, people are expecting too much? I don't know, a console doesn't run games exactly like how a PC does. It does look like on paper that 1080 a realistic expectation...
I'm liking the inclusion of bot-support(Squads mode). You have to read a bit carefully to see it yourself though.
Activision doesn't care and neither does the great majority of gamers. Console gamers play games to PLAY GAMES. If you want a dick-waving contest over graphics, there's the PC corner right over there. I like a good-looking game as much as anyone else, but I'd much rather have solid framerates and solid gameplay.
Crysis 3 on Medium-High settings already looks good enough to me. Very High settings is orgasmic, but I'm not willing to sacrifice those low-dips in exch...
The beginning of every generation always starts with launch games that don't look too different from the last generation. If this was a year into the next-gen.
I don't know anyone IRL that takes gaming as seriously as the N4G Comments section does.
I'm not sure about "timely". "timely" fashion to Ubisoft means they cut out some PC settings to meet the launch deadline. I'd rather they get it "right" than get it wrong and refuse to fix it or drag their heels. If we could have quality console ports like Alan Wake then yeah, sure.
This-gen, I disagree. Next-gen: maybe as PS4/X1 will be similar in specs.
Yup, I don't know how people could've played Lollipop Chainsaw and liked it in its entirety. I felt miserable playing that game, then Shadows of the Damned. Suda51 games IMO would make great OVAs/movies.
That's the point of a teaser. It's to get you talking and anticipating.
Your standards for "maxing" Crysis 3 are absurdly low. 35FPS average at what? 13x7 resolution consistent? FXAA isn't "maxing anything". It's a compromise.
All due-respect, not everyone will care about consistent 60FPS at 19x10 with MSAA but when you see it yourself: you'll know what it means to have a "max'd" game.
There's a huge difference between Tom's Hardware and MaximumPC. Ask a noob-question on Tom's: you might get a good answer. DO the same on Maxi and you'll be ridiculed and LMGTFY links everywhere.
The most demanding game on PC right now is Minecraft with SEUS mod. God-damn.....
Or Planetside 2
WD booo......
That looks like CE2 stuff......
