I love the Final Fantasy franchise as a whole, I don't care too much for multiplatform status, but I don't like their business strategies like the FFXIII demo, or the releases of done-over ports and remakes for old games, and even shovelware like Chocobos' Dungeon. I am looking at the games, and they're telling me that Square-Enix is going down the tubes in flames, and it's because of the greed they have that's going to affect FFXIII just as much.
Take the PC companies like Blizzard, and Valve(yah I know) for example. And now Crytek is looking to be another friendly. For Consoles, even though it pains me, if you look at Criterion Games, they've added additional content for Burnout Paradise over and over, all no charge, and better yet, ...
I did intend to buy AC Complete "new", but I don't want to support Square-Enix's newest business strategy. I've been waiting for AC:Complete for some time, but not like this.

MGS4 and GTAIV made that painfully clear. Yes, they're both great games, but not Perfect 10-worthy. I'm going to have to play this game and see for myself.

People forget that great games are decided by taste, and not necessarily by technical prowess. The two get mixed up all the time and that's what causes our flame wars.

I agree with everything Mario is saying. UE3 is documented to not work well with PS3. I wouldn't base the UE3 as the de-facto standard because UE3 was designed as a Multiplatform engine. A better comparison of a console's potential is between each console's flagship game.
Sony's is KZ2, and 360's is most likely GeoW2. Graphical prowess, not art-direction. Don't get the two mixed up.
To really appreciate MGS4, you have to play MGS1 or even MG. It's what MGS brought to gaming that makes MGS4 more worthwhile than ever. I won't go into detail much, but as a 12 year MGS veteran, that's what I'd expect other MGS fans to say as well.

Everyone has their own preferences. You can compare art-direction styles, but you can't compare 2 games of equal graphical prowess. You can however compare 2 games of different graphical prowess. MGS4 has better graphics than GeoW1 because MGS4 has HDR lighting, Dynamic shadowing, dynamic lighting, realistic facial expressions, interactive water, better lip-syncing, and better motion capture.
