If the games are good, then people will buy it because they want to show their love for their developers. I'm getting kinda tired of all these extreme meanings of piracy. Just because 100,000 copies of Far Cry 2 gets pirated doesn't mean that's 100,000 lost in sales.
That's all I'm gonna say. I like to keep an open mind about everything good or bad because it makes for good discussion and insight.
That's what you get pwnsauce. When you make vague statements like that, someone's going to misinterpret it. If it's anyone's fault; it's your fault for not being clear in what you meant the first time.
P.S. - I didn't hit the Disagree-button. The disagree-monster's on the loose again!
Nah I still think people hate O'Donnell much more than the PS3. :P
I'd love to hear your thoughts. I'm thinking about picking up the bundle for the headset. It's only $10 more.
Couldn't have said it better myself. I hear 360 fanboys using the 3 year warranty as a reason why 360 is better than PS3's 1 year warranty. I'm sitting there thinking some thoughts that aligns with your post pretty well.
I've stolen nothing. I'm simply stating what everyone's thinking. If you have a chance at getting something earlier than anyone else, you'll be awfully tempted. I'm supporting the idea that developers and publishers release their games ASAP when they're finished instead of following release dates. By not releasing games ASAP everyone loses. The only people that win are those that choose to bend the rules in their favor. I understand that you have to set dates in accordance with production-tim...
What's wrong with Spraying and Praying? It's still a technique and it's not my fault if you happen to die. Luck is a skill ya know :)
Release the game as soon as it's done, then you won't have problems with games being leaked and profits being stolen because "you" (Besthesda, EA, Ubisoft) decided to wait 2-4 weeks to release it. People get impatient, and pirating the game sounds awfully tempting.
However that dumbed-down PCs got the games! And I want it!!! Fable 2 here I come!
I'm pretty political, but there's a time and a place for politics, and it's not going to be in my video games.
You have to use the right program when formatting. You can't use Windows because it'll only allow 32GB max. Try using SwissKnife. That's what I use and I get max GBs available(after deductions)
EDIT: here ya go, just what the doctor ordered.

I dunno Para. $90 for a 320GB HDD sounds pretty good(.28c a gig). The cache is decent enough as well. I doubt you'll even see a difference between 8MB and 16MB if you use it for your PS3.
I'd explain why I hate installs, but I've done that like 20 times already. Just PM me if you want an explanation, or better yet, check my comments history.
The reason you see little difference between regular HDDs and SSDs is because the BR-Drive can't dump out enough info for the HDDs and SSDs to truly reach their potential. Those little seconds you see that differentiate between HDD and SSD is nothing more than access times and actual times reading off the hard disk. It's obvious SSD will have a slight advantage because the access times are almost instantaneous. The rest is really just the BR' Drive's fault afterwards.

These analysts are capitalizing on the traffic hits because gamers are so worried about the next-gen when this gen barely started. You never heard this non-sense back last-gen. I want to live in the present, and that's what I'm going to do. To hell with all ya naysayers. I'm playing b3yond and jumping in!
When 2011-2012 rolls, then I'll start thinking about it. But what, we're like 3-4 years away now? Stick to reality people. You can win a gaming tournament, making gaming memorie...
Gold Members get the demos once they're out. Silver Members have to wait at least a week before they get access. Cruddy, I know.
When I think about it, yeah, it's just like Qore. The only difference I can see is that one's an online infrastructure, and the other is a digital-magazine. They both suck and the only people I can see complaining about this is impatient people. The demos do get released eventually; I can find something to do to keep my occupied.

You just owned him, bubbles+ for comprehensive studies.
Onslaught, thanks for the compliment. While I don't think Epic is in Microsoft's Pocket, I do think they're holding hands often.
I'm still waiting for those 20 hour FPS games and 200 hour RPG games made only possible with BR, only to be hindered by fears of loading times. It's such a shame to see potential as great as Blu-Ray(BR) being wasted because of a bottleneck as silly as read-speeds.
It's funny though, I remember that Sony sent over some specialists to optimiz...
You're not alone, I hate the installs too.
The reason installs are done because the way developers organized the file structure isn't organized well-enough for the 2x BR Drive to pull data off constantly, so they use the HDD to offset some discrepancies when gauged against the 360 version. Unfortunately, it's entirely up to the developer whether or not the gamers see an improvement over load times vs. the 360 version, or we just have gigs of space wasted and we get worst loading ...
That's what they're doing. By having all these exotic names, Square-Enix thinks they're being "hip" and "creative" when IMO it looks like they're running out of ideas. Kingdom Hearts is NOT epic. It's a kiddie game. That is all. Leave the epic games to Final Fantasy please. There's nothing epic about Disney characters.
