"Rise of Nightmares" was a pretty good game.
The guys at Kotaku needs to feed their cats too you know! Give the journalists a break for having nearly nothing to report on a daily basis.
I thought I got a good value out of Resident Evil 6 for PC. $40 including the pre-order bonus is nice. RE.NET is also a nice addition: the community events and support for their PC Version shows they're taking cues from Valve.
I agree that Capcom overall is pretty shitty (still bitter over Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and Megaman Legends 3) but I acknowledge a good move when I see it. They still suck though.
Honestly man; If you're in THAT kind of situation: you have bigger problems to deal with than just being unable to play your games. You can't control your internet's reliability (which is the point of the article), but you can control spending habits.
On the plus of things: it does put a spotlight on the horrible state of the United States' internet infrastructure.
I wasn't really impressed with this episodic content. I was expecting "expansion pack" level of content when this DLC was announced back then. I hope they make up for it for their sakes.
...because you know: he didn't...*is shot*
I would give the game 8/10 on my own scale based on what he wrote, but I'm not going to argue much against a 7/10 either.
It's rare that you get reviews that were written after 30 hours of play. These reviews are the real ones you want to look for when deciding if a game is worth a buy. The kinds that are published well-after the Day 1-euphoria.
Hype's a helluva drug.
6 years ago: I would've agreed with this when console games came out with nearly-zero bugs. Now: you'd be challenged to see which version has more bugs in a blind-test.
I'm younger than you(24). I simply think we need to slow down a bit and enjoy the games we have now instead of forcing developers to constantly make new games to the point that the business side of gaming overtakes the creative side of gaming.
If Capcom made $30 off every game out of the $60 charged then that's 30 million in their pockets on top of the DLC. Well, I thought the game was pretty neat and worth my time.
It's not like I'm starved for games. I still enjoy games made back in 2007 (Crysis 1, Witcher 1) and it's definitely not like I can't play one game for at least 200 hours and still not enjoy it. Heck: I still play Left 4 Dead 2 to this day because there are so many ways to play it.
Remember back then when we would play the fuck out of FF games? The Speed-runs, the no-upgrade runs, the basic-weapons only runs? People were really creative about their games: now ...
You guys remember that "Forward Compatibility" rumor back in '09?
You're doing God's work. +Bubble
This would work out better as a porn movie. No need to waste money making this into a game. Lollipop Chainsaw was enough.
Well....that was.....hmm.
I play Red Orchestra 2 and I didn't even know about this expansion. Very Nice!
I'll take bot-support and fleshed-out local-play suites like split-screen over what looks to be another mediocre SP package. I'd like to be able to set up a 64p LAN-server at parties or a nice 4p split-screen vs. bots Rush game in the dorms.
