As someone who usually avoids any games with Nolan North: this game was surprisingly good. This is a game I would dust off years from now and still enjoy everything about it.
I'm a bit late to the Barista Capcom-hating circlejerking.
L4D2 is about $5 and RE6 is $40 with all DLC and RE5 and other junk for pre-order bonus. It's a good deal.
I don't get it. DmC and Ni No Kuni are like...two different games that cater to two different audiences.
Dammit: I was trying to have a good time reading this, but I saw Sarkeesian's face toward the end and just instantly lost my train of thought: replaced by the feeling of how I feel she is a joke.
Reading the article; it feels like the writer has his own head stuck up Lara's ass. There's the idea of "liking a game" and then there's the absurd-claim that this game is the epitome of a "swan song" for a generation of console gaming.
I like the game like anyone else but c'mon.
I care plenty. Hopefully IW takes some cues from Treyarch. I liked the Single-player structure that Black Ops 2 had as well as the 4p split-screen zombies. The latter was a huge plus for me at parties.
Well, all they really need to do is put some proper english subs and I'll just import it. I never understood that about game development in Japan or any kind of general. If localization is a hassle, just put decent translations and it'll sell overseas just as well. Hell, most of the english localization and voices for the most part sucks.
With certain exceptions naturally.
What's more to do? We all know what happens. A spiritual successor but IMO what makes NIER powerful is the fact there was a story and it concluded itself very well. (granted, there's a gap in worldly lore outside of Shades and towns).
Pre-hype is the most addicting kind of hype.
It'll be sometime before Linux becomes a viable path if you're implying what I think you are. OpenGL/CL are cool beans but the tools just isn't as good/clear as DirectX.
Correction. The heart and soul died when Jade Raymond stopped being the producer on the game and the direction of the series changed with Brotherhood.
After Brotherhood: you can tell they just "lost it". The allure of the story didn't feel compelling anymore and the series failed to evolve past the "animus gimmick". Revelations was a disappointment to the lore and AC3 failed to reinvigorate the magic that AC1 and AC2 started.
Personally, I wouldn't have Steam either. GoG's DRM-free games for me thanks.
The problem with that was announcing you were going to do a chargeback when you should've just done it already and instead feed your story to the media and let them tear EA a new one.
There will always be a group that will continue to buy EA games regardless.
Either John Cygan or Richard Doyle. I'd be happy if Hayter doesn't voice BB anymore. Storywise, that'd make no sense.
Fanservice DLC: got it. Off to Youtube!
When I first started playing MGR I thought parrying meant I had to push the stick in the direction of the enemy attack so if it looks like they were doing a right-side attack: I pushed the stick to the right and pressed X. Obviously this didn't work that often. I didn't learn about this until after I finished the game. The boss battle with Sam was hellish.
Looks like CDPR forgot the ubersampling.
Most of my friends who are on Facebook/Twitter tend to keep their gaming lives and social lives apart.
