I hope they improve the AI for this mode. The AI in BFBC2 single player is not that FUN to play against. Their field of view is too wide, and they always know where you are, discouraging using any form of stealth against them.
DICE stated that they won't use the current dedicated servers because this mode only has 4 players, neglecting 28 player slots in each server.
And they're not making it P2P cause that'll require them to share their client code - which they're not doing for security reasons.
Straight from the BFBC2 forums.
I really appreciate Treyarch's efforts to put co-op into their games. Hopefully they build on it more than IW's feeble efforts.
Co-op romp through the story campaign > separate, shorter co-op campaign.
God, I hope not. The article brings up some points everyone here at N4G can probably relate to.
Definition of satire: Where human or individual vices, follies, abuses, or shortcomings are censured by ridicule, derision, burlesque, irony, or other methods, ideally with the intent of improvement.
I like how you got 4 agrees.
You do the same amount of damage against shields whether you hit the head or body.
Health is a different story.
Not to mention the new melee system, encouraging well planned-out beatdowns, and reticle bloom to encourage pacing your shots over distances.
Minority report dashboard and I'm sold.
I'm guessing I'm not alone here.
Too true. It's been on NATIONAL TELEVISION as NATAL! That thing will need a LOT of marketing to clear the word Natal out of our heads (or at least, for informed gamers) and replace it with something else.
Microsoft Vision Camera anyone?
There's a reason why he only has one bubble.
Natal will not be forgotten. It will remain in the industry for a long time. Whether it'll be a positive or a negative impact is questionable, but it's here to stay.
Stop trolling Saaking.
Slickest UI in any game to date. The only complaint I hear is that SD users find it hard to read text, but HD users are having a blast!
There will be 4 maps. Overlook - where you play generator defense - will unlock this friday, I think.
I think the vehicles are way too easy to destroy.
The idea behind vehicles should be that they're always on the map. It's really cool to see a tank roaming around beside you.
I say... heavily nerf the vehicle weaponry and seriously buff their health. Then we can actually feel vehicular warfare going on instead of vehicle skirmishes lasting about 2 seconds.
It's all about the level of detail and environments and the amount of antialiasing, not so much the resolution.
I would have preferred BFBC2 to be 640p 2xAA than 720p no AA.
Bad thumbnail pic: it's from the cancelled PC version.
I've been watching some walkthroughs, struggling to stay away from spoilers: the story twists are absolutely intriguing. I've heard that the ending's a bummer, but really, it's about the journey there.
Think of the number of times you saw the end of an episode for a TV series. It leaves you on a cliffhanger, then you find out in the next episode that it really wasn't that big of a ...
@FaZtKiLLaR,
Really? As much as I love Halo, I find vehicles in that game quite overpowered. Think of the number of times you've gone on a massacre spree on High-Ground on the warthog turret... if you've played Halo.
Well, it's only performance not actual graphics.
Screenshots will look the same. Xbox players can expect more tearing and frame-rate drops, I'm presuming.
If you guys don't mind me asking... where are the Halo trolls?
And I'm serious. There should be an onslaught of them. Are the mods banning them? Removing the comments?
From what I read of it a few weeks ago, Epic said this game has no co-op.
It's off my list. I'd rather wait for Gears of War 3.
Dam, Onslaught won't be free.
Way to divide your player base DICE.
