It's because people have been claiming that "Ryse is the best looking next-gen console game". Everything get compared to Ryse, well every exclusive anyway, simply because people kept boasting it as having the best visuals.
I disagree with that completely in the first place but those that do follow that train of thought are using PS4s most graphically impressive titles for comparisons.
Killzone, Infamous SS and now Deep Down.
I think t...
Why even bother to comment?
Seems dualshockers is chasing negativity when it comes to this game :/
Driveclub is NOT FREE TO PLAY!
Get this through your skull!
Driveclub will release on disc at retail at the launch of the PS4, it is NOT FREE TO PLAY!
I don't see people going around calling all the other PS+ titles "F2P" but just because Driveclub is a limited content version you guys call it F2P. Uncharted 3 came to PS+ with only the story mode attached, no one calls that F2P. Ironically Uncharted 3s multiplayer is F2P.
what is PCG?
Paid Content Gaming/galore?
Anyway, Deep Down a "tech demo"...
Tech demos are usually amazing and I've always wanted to play around with one lol.
The game looks phenomenal so it doesn't matter what you decide to call it, are you even getting a PS4?

This is what I've been saying for months. I'm buying my PS4 with no games at the start and checking out all the free stuff first. There's a lot of options between the F2P games and the PS+ games and my current subscription doesn't expire till March. ^_^
I'll probably still end up buying stuff soon after but nothing beyond the system on day 1.
No way.... O.O
I can't believe it's F2P
I will remain cautious though, don't really trust Capcom too much when it comes to micro-transactions. If there's an option to buy the full package/game I'll probably just go that route. They better not screw this up, they really can't afford to right now.
Happy gaming everyone!
Sony is publishing this title as well as helping with the development. I'm pretty sure the cost is being split or something, basically Sony will make sure this game gets released no matter what.
No worries!
I'm in love with this gif, thanks random IGN commenter who posted it!

Forgot to mention, that second guy they showed was playing via remote play using his Vita during that dragon fight scene.
Why can't there be a game play video showing the deeper, more interesting parts of the combat while also being in a decent quality?
Currently we've got one super dark version that shows off game play depth but also has demonstrators talking non-stop in japanese about the game. The darkness of the video also hides the amazing graphics which sucks.
The second video, courtesy of gamersyde, is off screen but clearly shows the amazing visuals as well as th...
Holy crap Knack looks insanely nice running on the Vita screen. It kind of trips me out seeing a game of that quality play on a handheld system.
Is Knack really 30fps? I haven't heard it mentioned anywhere before.
Watch more videos, look up the ones that came out today, http://n4g.com/news/1357566... better version of its game play.
They actually use items and special attacks.
The characters move slowly because it's meant to be realistic movement an armor is heavy. It makes it more difficult than just running away from all enemies. The...
I was just about to say that!
Also, this game's got nothing on Dragon's Crown (side scroller beat em up) but probably fun enough too.
oops meant to reply
The animations become a lot smoother, just watch a youtube version of this same level being played.
Everything looks way better on this version, the player and enemy animations look realistic in comparison but unfortunately the player in this video is horrible. He makes he game look boring yet if you watch the TGS stage show version you see a much more entertaining game. Magic items and special moves.
....I'm happy
Been following every tidbit of information for months now and it's looking amazing.
The time freeze
The fire effects
The stone tornado mixed with fire
The lighting
The Dragon is REAL
The monster skin texture
The Co-op
The magic bombs
The Particle effects
The 60fps (check gamersyde to see the fluidity)
The sparks when he blocked attacks
The mini map ma...
The player didn't know what he was doing, at the start you can see he barley glanced at the controls before jumping in. There's a lot more moves he could've done as well as having useable items. In the final build there will obviously be more classes and you can even light and shoot flaming arrows.
There's another article describing the game play in depth from someone that replayed this demo 7 times at TGS. 4681d ago 4 agree0 disagreeView comment
The enemy animation when it gets hurt looks great, the way it stumbles backward and actually looks like it got hurt in the spot it was stabbed in (lol, it's a feat compared to most games). 60fps helps the smooth look of the animations but it's smooth in general too. The body movement and transitions are very realistic, nothing jerky or clunky and this game might be like a year from release so looking this good already is a big achievement.
Too bad this player only use...
They spent something like 267 million on the game right? Glad to see it was so profitable already from Day 1. Though we all knew this was going to be a huge seller.
Here it is, "265 million". Spent more than any other game ever released as well as almost every movie.

Live stream looks miles better than the youtube uploads, thanks+
