I didn't exactly mean in what 14 offers 100% should be how 16 is, as i know its dated. But i mean one massive open world isn't the only way to have large and vibrant areas to explore and that ff14 does offer many locations with various themes and atmospheres. something 16 can surely evolve to a current gen spec and really push the boundaries within the genre so "this game isn't open world" isn't such a headline anymore.
FF13 was literally pathways and tunnels though. This will be multiple maps, that are pretty big in scale and able to be explored with a much higher level of detail and features.
Will be similar to this from FF14 - https://youtu.be/lBoB_v96YO... - very long, but have a quick look :)
Title makes that seem like a bad thing. Play FF14 and you will see how yoshi-p builds worlds and maps. very detailed and pretty large zones to fully explore. The game should still feel relatively open and able to offer exploration, just per zone you need to probably teleport/load in to navigate between areas. Youtube some FF14 map exploration videos for an idea on scale and detail, feels very open to me :)
If you want something, you buy it. If there is a market why shouldn't they capitalise on it? Everybody wins & you get a collectible out of it as a fan of the game. Happy days :) Or, you just.... don't. lol
They do have time to improve, and I'm hopeful for it. But Playstations streaming services have been around via Now since 2014. A lot of (if not all) the streaming on Plus now, is identical to what is was back then. But eh, now it's all in one service and will reach a larger audience and with Xbox also doing it very well, maybe they will finally put more dev time in and make streaming that extra % better than it is.
I don't think it even matters what your connec...
I hope they add online elements this time, be it co-op or even adding some hub world elements. This game is perfect for that, but i also hope they stick to the original and offer a completely offline style too. very hyped for this, was one of my fave games of its generation and still today could happily play it!
I can see where you're coming from though, even if people disagree lol. Dragons Dogma was a rough around the edges (Not great VA, average story/graphics) but very solid game overall, was a joy to play and very addictive, easily one of the best games from the past 10 years. Final Fantasy is way more polished, but has of late been kind of 50/50. 16 might be insane and a return to form, but I don't doubt for a moment that Dragons Dogma 2 will be great!
Eh, cut lockedongrammar1 some slack man... fml >.<
The best Final Fantasy in the past 10+ years has been without a doubt XIV. And when I say the best "Final Fantasy", I mean literally each expansion since A Realm Reborn in its own right. Heavensward, Stormblood, Shadowbringers, and Endwalker have all been more than worthy to be considered as stand alone entries in the saga that each surpass many of the main entries (since 10). So yeah for sure, I'm hyped for XVI for this alone - The trailers so far don't blow me away, I comp...
FF15 was great at times, in a sense of basic world design and concept. The final result was ultimately poor and unfinished, it felt mostly empty and a huge waste of potential. If FF16 can offer a vast unique open world, similar to 15's, but with life (populated villages, unique locations etc) and character to it, we are on to a winner for sure. The story and character development looks like it will be fine, the dev team worked on ffxiv and that has been consistently top tier and the best ...
pretty sure 10 years ago it wouldn't have been overly viable for streaming to be pushed as mainstream on the PlayStation? Rivaling Gamepass is one thing, something sony has failed at... but streaming games 10 years ago is another beast. They bought out that company with good foresight though, as it is now something I think we can expect to see at a solid standard on all consoles tbh.
Out of date article, the game was taken offline so its existing players would have an easier time logging in. At one stage I had a queue with 8000 players in, it took upwards of 3-4 hours to get through it. They took a hit to try and fix this, they are adding new servers and data centers soon in a bid to further help.
The original comment was stupid imo but its his opinion i guess lol! But man, origins is by far the best I agree but "the only good one".... cmon, even inquisition had a lot of charm and was fun to play even if it wasn't quite as good as most hoped!
The Mass Effect Trilogy is possibly my favorite franchise of all time, such an awesome experience. However... if you have watched the TV show "The Expanse"... that is another level of sci-fi perfection, to the point I don't think even Mass Effect will feel as good anymore :( Seriously, if we ever get a new story set in the ME universe, i hope it's inspired by The Expanse!!
Yeah, that and the fact they are condensing the 2.x MSQ now at last! Hopefully will also keep new players interested in the game for longer.
How would i go about ripping the menu sound effects from this theme? Assuming they are the ingame menu sounds used?
Bet you're fun at party's lol! The last few have been pretty similar I'll give you that, but man... this trailer had loads of new footage and the soundtrack, voice acting and everything look awesome!
I haven't played the game in years... like 10+ years... but I remember seeing aerith and zack in spirit form! Their energy living through the lifestream and watching events unfold in advent children? There was definitely a conscious awareness from aerith in these scenes after she died... So maybe the game could focus on this spiritual side to her more? After all, she is a Cetra :) She can continue to play a part in the story in this way, as advent children touched upon. In the original, t...
Nope, it's bad enough I have to sneak downstairs and hope the PlayStation 4's beep when it turns on doesn't wake my Girlfriend...
Would've made far more sense imo to have TLOU1 as part of the new PS Plus offering, alongside even TLOU2, and then maybe next year (or the next) announce TLOU3 and also that the first 2 would be getting remade using the same engine as whatever pt 3 is - Maybe this is unrealistic and too much to ask, so at the least maybe a hybrid between that and the engine being used now, then releasing whatever after that, a year or 2. This is like.... 4-5 years from now? Perfect timing imo
