What is innovation in a game like this? Did the last of us truly innovate? Not really, it was just a fantastic experience. Did tearaway for vita innovate? Yes. This genre is kind of linear in scope for innovation, anything new is cool by me, but fundamentally they're all the same. A solid narrative and general experience is all that matters.... a little innovation is a bonus!

Its a Japanese game created for a western audience primarily. What happens with Japanese voice actors has no relevance to their English counterparts. David hayters voice as snake is not determined by who is still the Japanese guy, it makes sense Kojima has decided to change big boss as he reaches a new stage of persona.... nobody has stated any info on solid snakes voice, but hayter has not been ruled out as still being the guy. I honestly think he's still solid snake, voices are not cano...
I've always thought he'd be in MGS V. Pretty obvious really. Hayter is Solid Snake, Big Boss is Sutherland. The two will feature in the same scene in the game 100%!
In regard to the opening paragraph.... I hope people don't compare the world of Mgs to GTA.... that's seriously something rockstar have no rival with. But Mgs V will be a better game than GTA imo, as a narrative experience... its world is yet to be explored, so who knows! I can't wait though, Big Boss reaching metal gear 1 stage on the timeline is going to be crazy....
No. Why now? Waiting until a big exclusive is about to be released, then dropping the price is way better. Not only does the game appeal, but the added price drop would really tempt people to buy in! A price cut in January is stupid.... they didn't need to in November/December... January is silly. Wait and it'll come, but in a way that's to push extra players toward their big titles... the order,uncharted, bloodborne etc.
I hope by the time its in my ps4 it still looks this good! I always fear pre release images, although usually they look epic first then watered down when eventually we see the true console version. But maybe this will be the first truly beautiful game if its type on ps4. We all know what we've seen so far is the futures ugly ps4 games as things get better yearly.
PlayStation 4 - Uncharted 4, The Order 1886, BloodBorne, ratchet and clank and deep down are the ones that come to mind initially! Also, PlayStation has quantic dreams' new IP and countless other franchises yet to make a current gen entry, god of war, heavenly sword, crash bandicoot, gran turismo... even the likes of yakuza and Japanese games such as tales of and persona.
Xbox One - Halo 5, Quantum Break, timed rise of the tomb raider, exclusive minecraft 2 or new mojang ...
A new chrono trigger or star ocean would be nice.
Or a new IP for consoles. Kingdom hearts was a gamble that paid off for the PlayStation 2, I think its time they created something new again. I'm thinking something fresh like an evolution of the gameplay mechanics from kingdom hearts but in a more mature setting, maybe a futuristic Tokyo setting something like blade runner only with Japanese style!

Really? Xbox has only won November/December in NA.. never once worldwide. NA is s substantial market, but please remember the other 10 or so months in which PlayStation 4 out right dominated.

Ground zeroes is, if rushed... like massively rushed, a single main mission run of like 20 minutes. You can play all it has to offer for well over 10-20 hours. That's not a demo of course, so I imagine the content in FFXV is actually primarily filled with exploration.
The FFXV demo will likely feature in the locale we know of, offer monsters to fight and possibly one huge wild beast who may act as a boss of sorts. I don't even care for the car... I imagine it'll e...
I feel like Bloodborne may just edge it here. At least my excitement levels are well over 9000 for this game.
The Order looks incredible, and I'm certain to buy into that franchise in the hope its going to be huge for PlayStation commercially and also great for me. But, as a huge fan of games like Bloodborne, I'm secretly hoping for a kind of Dragons Dogma 2 game, but exclusive and more polished! Both games are just epic reasons to own a PlayStation 4 tbh.

The hype is an illusion. It usually always is. These games might be fantastic, but imo... they will be good games that aren't going to really spark something huge, something like what mass effect 1 was. The order looks visually epic, and the theme very interesting. Its gameplay however looks entirely average... not poor, but nothing seriously fresh that's stand out from the crowd. Expect good games, just don't believe the hype until you can judge!

Awesome, played it in Japanese a while back.... was epic run but couldn't understand everything. Really can't wait for a deep immersive jrpg on ps4, the demo is a bonus.... which I'm also eager to play to death lol! This, FFXV and Kingdom Hearts 3 is literally almost 10 years of waiting!
