Nope, I disagree, i downloaded the app and it was great. Instantly accessible, watching live stream, easy comment feed. Its a great launch, better than I expected.
Its no system seller in the style of gears of war or uncharted. But assuming one of those titles sold you, this is a great bonus and reason to own the ps4! Variety from the normal game released, stylish, visuals are great, well written, great atmosphere, great addition to the games library.
They tried too, then at the last minute Amazon outbid them!
Because ps4 sells more they have to recoup their costs on Xbox lol.

Agree if you will miss the cut scenes .... they were a large part of the charm, for me.
Disagree if you are good they're gone, I can see the fluidity of having cut scenes play out during your gameplay, and its still going to be well written and trademark Kojima.... but yeah, I'll miss you cut scenes!

Caius was them trying to hard to recreate a villain in that style, imo, he was "OK" but not memorable, amongst the likes of kefka, sephiroth and even kuja.
I doubt it. They failed in 12 and 13 with its villains, tried to in 13-2 and failed again.... they'd have to reskin sephiroth or kefka to create the illusion the new one is cooler!

Actually ffxiv is against the norm..... expect more f2p with item malls. This game is a strong brand that people have accepted as p2p and it will remain this way forever. FFXI is still p2p as n example of how well that worked.

A 2006 game with as much scope as mass effect 1 isn't linear imo. Even now its unlikely we will get a fully open universe, but I'd expect "big" things :)
To put it into perspective. Final Fantasy VII is massive. A huge game that's insanely popular, released almost 20 years ago. A timeless classic!
GTA V has sold over 50m copies.... another level, that only GTA VI could likely beat now!
I'm buying this to make sure Kojima knows his work was appreciated, and that future titles konami ruin won't do as well..... it sucks my favorite franchise after final fantasy will never be the same again... I'll cherish V, pop ins mean nothing when this will be a masterpiece, Mgs can define a console generation, and easily rival as best game of the generation!

"that's not an insult" or they disagree that its a great game.... which, amongst all the same old games we get even if they're good, its a breath of fresh air to get s game like this!
