Endwalker, specifically 6.0 at least, was probably the greatest phase for the MSQ over the entire XIV story and was the perfect finale. This is also where Endwalker as a whole suffers for me, I felt the story ended perfect, and I just haven't been able to play beyond 6.1 and beyond due to lack of interest, it just felt like a great ending point to a story we have followed for years now. It was beautiful.
As for the content outside of MSQ, again, nothing new. Some intere...
Articles and headlines like this, are the result of the death of gaming journalism and websites/blogs.
I shouldn't even fall for the bait at this stage, but man... Even if Starfield isn't the absolute behemoth and era-defining experience we all basically expected it would be... gaming is just fine! Games like Sea of Stars, Baldurs Gate 3 and a host of others keep coming year after year. The golden era of big devs pushing out classic after classic, with the likes of ...
Imagine just writing off FFXIV because it's an mmo. FFXIV has some of the best characters + overall story/writing in the entire franchise, not to mention, the soundtrack too!
How do you even know? We will never get another classic if we just continue to recycle the same game over and over. Gaming has changed hugely, the battle system could very easily stay the same as it did in FFVII OG, but would that be something Sony want as a flagship 2023 title for the PS5? In a few years' time, we may look back at FFXVI as a point in the franchise that we can say was when things started to feel fresh again and continued to evolve along the path it started.
They are already taking a pretty big hit at the selling price at floor level right now they won't be treating the steam deck as a typical PC. It's most importantly a handheld, the PC spec is a bonus and a huge selling point. They will milk the 1st gen steam deck for as long as they can to break the curve from initial sale ratios - as consoles do!
@shinoff2183 Yeah 100%, from what I see I don't even need to consider if it's turn based or action orientated. I can see d-pad controls which control Torgal (the dog companion) alongside what seems like pretty smooth/detailed combat combined with an ability system with menu upgrades and more. Will it be the best the franchise has had? who knows... likely not, but if it works, and I get to enjoy exploring the world, happy days! Final Fantasy isn't defined by purely your point, thes...
The team working on 16 have been knocking great stories and content out for close to 10 years with Final Fantasy 14... but yeah, as a mainline entry it's looking like a huge return to form!
It's a polished 15 year old PSP game to allow more people to learn more of the story revolving around Zack and events within the FF7 universe that will help you better understand what happens in the larger more ambitious FF7 remake titles to come, which are writing their own story separating it away from the original, where you really want to learn more about Zack.... maybe even Genesis (secret ending in the original CC might be somewhat relevant in any deviations in the main story now?),...
"Sega does, what Nintendon't" was an actual advertising slogan in the 90's, long before the good ole days - Imagine today if somebody said that officially, they hide behind way more casual terms like "the most powerful console" instead of openly stating the Xbox being more powerful than PS, or PS stating explicitly "We have actual 1st party games releasing" - btw, I'm no fanboy I'm playing on typical statements made by fanboys!!
Steaming with anticipation for this!
This actually felt like a silent hill trailer... which is very strange to say minutes after watching the silent hill 2 trailer just revealed. Will it be a classic or as good as the originals? Not likely... but I'm at least interested as a massive fan of SH2/3.
I'm actually a little sad by these trailers, such a huge IP to work with and Konami just haven't got the passion anymore - But eh, lets give these games a chance before judging too much!
I hate to sound negative... but I didn't really get a Silent Hill vibe from this trailer (ignoring the pyramid head, nurses and fog lol). Konami are outsourcing a massive IP and taking a risk imo, this should be being made by only the very best Konami can get! Visually, it looks really good, but is it Silent Hill looking, outside of the fog... not really? The sound + atmosphere was very generic also, Silent Hill always had a very dark and atmospheric style with Akira Yamaoka's work.....
Resident Evil has been a constantly high quality tier of game since the original on Playstation 1. Imo, Silent Hill was the superior horror game with Silent Hill 2 & 3, and it also had an incredible soundtrack to match... almost to this day those 2 are unmatched in many ways, had they not been owned by Konami, Silent Hill would've been even more popular and successful I'm sure - and it is regardless! But then it just kinda..... stopped being as good or released as often as Resi (t...
The trailer 'Looks' awesome, and will surely be highly successful. But Chris Pratt sounds awful based on what's on show here. Why cant they just work with an actual Italian voice actor? I'm not sure how Pratt (based on his previous work) is the guy to play Mario's voice here... other than simply the name being well known and looking better on paper.
Sometimes i just wish Final Fantasy XV was released on Christmas day, the disappointment of it being shit would've been far less an issue if it was on that day. Now news this really promising looking game wont release during the Halloween holidays has just ruined my year :( I just hate to see a dev send more time refining a game to make it launch in a better state tbh!!
So we have Orion, Polaris, Canis Majoris and Sirius. Oh, and Hadar. Canis Majoris is a fully fledged Witcher game but seperate from the new saga starting with Polaris. I'm gonna need to read this over properly lol, Sounds like they have 4 (5 with whatever Hadar is) new games coming. Well, thats great!! Cyberpunk was 1 game and that released just fine, was easy work for them! But maybe cyberpunk launch was "Delta", and cyberpunk patch 1 was "Omega"... two games actually...
Imagine if people just wrote articles that were this on point in just 3 words. Imagine all the ad space they'd have!! lol
I was just a kid when I first played KH1, as I'm sure most were... but actually being around when it launched and waiting what felt like forever for KH3 led me to literally not even bother with it sadly. I've nothing against Disney... but this was a franchise that was on-par with Final Fantasy and a flagship series for Square Enix and I just feel they really lost their way with it. KH1, KH2 & BBS are absolute classics, even the soundtracks, opening menu sounds etc bring me so much...
Loved it on the PSP, was one of the best games on the system. You can tell it's a PSP remake, it's still visually nice to look at... but yeah, still has that remade psp feel to it, which is fine. When the music shifted at around the 1 minute mark... all that nostalgia came back! I cant wait to play this again and get ready for part 2 of the main remake. I hope the secret ending to this game plays a part in the future of FF7 remake - If you know.... you know :P
Desperate? I've always been a Playstation guy, but this title is just dumb. Maybe.... Xbox players just want to play some Halo Forge? You know, that small indie franchise that's been around longer than half of the people writing these articles!
