why did bodybombs get disagree's for stating a FACT, Solid Snake is based on Snake Plissken from Escape from N.Y, who is played by Kurt Russel infact in MGS2 Snake takes the name Plissken to hide his identity.
Anyways i really hope they don't screw this up, part of me is hoping they won't but i have a feeling its not gonna end well MGS features complexed themes, questions the morality of war and political action i doubt it would do well with modern audiences that...

They were really unique, at 1st glance i thought i was in for some mario esque platformer, i was surprised by how dark, and challenging it was , i also liked its black humor, great game never got down to beating it tho.
Liquid Ocelot, is imo one of the greatest villains ever conceived in fiction, especially in MGS4 he's perfect, a mastermind, fascinating just complete.
Ganon should have been there somewhere , Albert Wesker is one of the worst villains in games, he's so generic, just boils down to an evil, mad scientist/ billionaire that wants to "destroy the world" yawn!!
Sales do NOT equate to quality, that said i disagree with N64 being number 1, compared to SNES it was a huge step down in games , it lacked in the RPG department, something that SNES was legendary for, , which is why i preferred the PS1,its use of cartridges really limited it as well.
That and by todays standards i find allot of the games have not held up by todays standards some of them are extremely overrated like Goldeneye, DK, and dare i say LOZ OoT? i favoured Majora...

agreed games like Pokemon, and COD although extremely derivative continue to fly out stores, who are , a few out of the tens of millions people who dont buy these games to call for the end of the franchise, when millions enjoy them and are willing to buy them each year,it would make us look cynical,and selfish.
i usually wait a year or 2 before buying a new console, just so i can see the direction its going. Reasons for that is because i bought a dreamcast day 1 and well..you know the rest. I could have bought a ps3 on launch but at the time it didn't seem like that great of an investment. I'll do the same with the Wii U.
I might get allot of flak for this but my PERSONAL pick goes to the entire Gears of War cast, just a bunch of blockheaded, 2 dimensional, cocky, jock , stereotypical neanderthals, it's essentially a Football team , but with much less personality all they do is bitch, cry, gloat and trade bad jokes and puns. And these are the people who carry humanity's fate? boo. Don't get me wrong i love the Gears of War games but the characters and story really pi$$es me off.

I think the only game i can think of that has the potential to be a great movie is probably Ico/ SOC and not because im a fan of those games, its because there fantastic examples for the argument of games being considered "art".
If they got the right director like Terrence Mallick (The Thin Red Line, Badlands, Tree of Life) or Peter Jackson , who knows. But the possibility of A-list director directing a VG...
the ps vita has tons of potential, its problem is that it seems to suffer from the same issues that plagued the PSP, that being
A: it never had any original IP's that were unique to the handheld, with the exception of games like Patapon, JRPG'S, meaning if you weren't into RPG's the psp was almost useless
B: it felt more like a console than a handheld, e.g. Console ports , Console ip's on the system. And
C:The Pricing
being realistic, in the last 7 years i can only think of 2-3 PC games that have been "innovative","g roundbreaking" or have just flat out "amazing GOTY worthy" Different story on consoles tho
London is one of the most tunneled cities in the world, bunkers, catacombs, old mail tunnels,roman ruins, unused rail ways, and despite having the 2nd largest subway system in the world the city is full of used tunnels, un used sewers, abandoned underground stations , secret underground ww2 bunkers/ bomb shelters even old cities hollowed way underneath.

i would have preferred if they expanded the universe to europe, asia, south america or even africa, we dont really know whats going on in those continents in post-apocalyptia, there are mentions of them but no real idea of whats going on.
For the most part american cities are far to similar imo, i doubt it will be an exiting new aesthetic. That said im still looking forward to this game, it's my most anticipated unannounced game.
I don't care to much for the game either but then again i can see th appeal allot of people do, allot of people are looking forward to this game, so anything I can say against the game is pretty much irrelevant.
That said I would rather Sony have remade Bushido Blade instead that game was an incredible ps1 fighter
To compare GTA 4's story to one of the greatest movies of all time is completely ludicrous , it may have been good interpretation of classic crime movies but as good, seriously ....?
