Well, it depends what kind of game you're playing.
It's awesome to have, but it's not mandate for all games. If we wanted 60 fps for all games throughout the gen, we'd be looking at some seriously expensive consoles, which does not work at all. Remember the launch of the PS3? Also, has anyone thought about how the PS4 would handle a cel-shaded game? Because most of these graphics discussions have been solely based on realistic visuals, from what I've seen at least....
If consoles have reached their limits. then how are the much smaller smartphones going to completely outclass them in terms of specs without the use of quantum physics?
The PS4 era is almost here and it's showing domination so far.
No bro. Just no. Lol
Anyway, if you've seen Matsuda-sama's recent, you'd understand why I'm not worried.
As long as it's a great game I be fine with waiting for 2 or 3 years.
Console gaming doesn't need any saving. 1 million PS4 pre-orders beg to differ.
This is the sort of thing you need for 1080p at 60 fps for all games and it does not seem to be cheap at all. 16 GB of DDR3 RAM for the CPU alone?! And 3GB of GDDR5 for the GPU? Damn. Can most PC gamers reach these specs? I know they have some pretty sweet rigs, but still.
Whoa!
'The 300 prototype units will ship with the following components:
GPU: some units with NVidia Titan, some GTX780, some GTX760, and some GTX660
CPU: some boxes with Intel : i7-4770, some i5-4570, and some i3
RAM: 16GB DDR3-1600 (CPU), 3GB DDR5 (GPU)
Storage: 1TB/8GB Hybrid SSHD
Power Supply: Internal 450w 80Plus Gold
Dimensions: approx. 12 x 12.4 x 2.9 in high'
Gotdamn, these things must be hella expensive. If you go...
I'm getting very sick and tired of this digital distribution takeover BS. Like really? Why do we NEED to get digital only games? Why can't we have both physical and digital? Why do we need to enforce DRM all across the board? That and why the hell does mobile gaming need to take over the industry? It boggles my mind as to how people think mobile devices will be able to completely dwarf the PS4 and XBO without developing some serious quantum physics. You can only make transistors and c...
That's cool. Watch Dogs will definitely be a good game, but I think Ubi over did it with all the trailers. Then again, I'm just gonna have to wait and play whenever I get the chance.
DS4 looks great! Can't wait to get it into my hands.
Sounds badass. I'll see if I'll support the Kickstarter. So many games from the PS4 to choose from.
@Armyofdarkness, exactly. That's what excites me most about this gen.
Insomniac? Really? Well, you know how it's gonna happen right? MS is gonna give that check. If Sony doesn't own the IP that is.
The comedian really shouldn't have done that, but why does the user on Twitter need to dramatize the situation? If anything, all that's happening is that this is being exposed to the internet, a place full of assholes who just don't care about how anyone feels.
Personally, if I had a girlfriend and found out she used to be a guy, I would not be happy at all.
I think 2 gens is a bit of stretch. Lol. But I have no doubt they'll be more powerful than the XBO and PS4, but that'll also lead to a higher price.
Badass trailer.
This is the first FPS that I've seen in a while that I want to get ASAP. This game and many others have me extremely excited for the next generation, even though I'll be purchasing a PS4 in Summer 2014.
So now my 'Must have Next-gen purchases' from the Western side of the industry are, the Division, inFamous Second Son, Mirror's Edge reboot and thanks to this trailer, Destiny.
Also, does anyone else wanna troll your opponents by doi...
I don't see the Steam Machines as a huge threat, but it's nice to know that Sony isn't being cocky. Keeping aware of your surroundings is good.
Looks cool.
I'll pick up a Wii U as soon as this comes out. I loved TP and SS. But if X comes out before this, then I'll get a Wii U sooner.
