Since Yoichi Wada is out of the count, I have to utmost faith in SE. If you saw Matsuda's recent comment, you'd understand even more. I think that the Western side of SE is going to beast it. They've already confirmed next-gen Tomb Raider, Sleeping Dogs and Deus Ex. As for SE Japan, I'm very excited. SE will return to glory this gen.
True. Cartoony games and JRPGs in general only do well on Nintendo and Sony platforms. PC and Xbox, not so much (this game and FFXV aren't going to PC, I'm just making a point). It's mainly because the Wii U version would be worse, but I'd make a watered down Wii U version before an XBO version. Plus, the XBO version will run worse anyway.

How could you not know that the reveal was a tech demo? Either way, the game has beautiful graphics in gameplay. Especially for an online game.
Gaming journalists are to blame to. They give great reviews to games that are absolute shit *cough*IGN*cough*. I think it's because they're paid to do so. And then they give bad reviews to games that are different and innovative. I don't know what you'd have to be on to give Black Ops 2 a 9.3. They also get people who don't like certain games to review said games. SomeCallMeJohnny is way better.

Not all developers. Western ones like EA definitely will. Japanese ones won't bother with that much optimization for the XBO, for obvious reasons. If there games even make it on the XBO. But there's no excuse for them to deliberately aim for parity. Launch titles are un-optimized, but later on there's no excuse at all. They've been complaining about limitations for ages.

I hope it's better than TASM 1. That game was amazingly mediocre. Beenox proved that they can make a pretty damn good SM game with SM: Shattered Dimensions. They say that Manhattan will be more lively, we'll have a realistic swinging system and a combat system with even more depth. Hoping for the best.
Where did you hear that? And anyways, you're getting too excited. The XBO will FAIL in Japan. Don't expect anything different. Plus, a Japanese dev (let alone indie) would not make an XBO exclusive. They'd flop.

Well, it shouldn't be. They're wasting there time. They can through around all the money they want, but a Japanese dev will NOT make an XBO exclusive. It would flop farther than a fish.
Trackpads look pretty responsive, but the face buttons are my main issue. Having said that, the most popular games on the PC are usually MMOs and FPS', while fighting games and RPGS aren't very popular on the PC. The controller seems to be designed for specific genres. Not a bad thing really. The controller is gonna take some time to get used to though. Also, it seems you have to swipe twice sometimes. Bit of a turn off.
The reason you're thinking that this gen will be mostly 720p is because of BF4. It's the only next-gen game that's not running at 1080p. But FB3 is very un-optimized. So apparently, one launch game from EA out of all companies decides what resolution the PS4 and XBO will play at.
Valve is just putting PC gaming to the living room. They're not completely reaching out to the console crowd, seeing as the price of the Steam Machines will be quite higher than the next gen consoles. MS shouldn't worry per say, but they shouldn't completely shun it.
Damn, the environmental textures look amazing! Visually stunning, especially for a launch game. Can't wait to see what happens in later games.
