And meanwhile in Deep Down, we have amazing graphics running at 1080p native 60fps on the PS4 and it's an online game. inFamous Second Son has true next-gen graphics and open world (fair enough not as many enemy AIs, but they're still attacking with force), 1080p native 30fps (rumored to be 60fps).
The XBO can't catch a break. What's next? Destiny? Titanfall?
10,000 enemy AI's because of the Cloud. ROLF.
Listen, maybe the Cloud can do these glorious things. But the question is, how robust must your internet connection be to do this? 10,000 AI's?
I'll believe it when I see it.
What the hell? They couldn't even get 900p? The game doesn't even look that good graphically anyway.
I can understand the 30fps (it doesn't seem like the type of game that needs 60fps), but they couldn't even get 900p? Let alone 1080p? Damn.
Also, why is Ryse 900p and this is 720p? Ryse looks much better graphically.
I'm really wondering how things are gonna go down for the XBO later down the line. How the hell is an exclusive for ...
Console mainly guy here.
I think he means the average computer. Gaming PCs with better specs are more powerful than the PS4. Can't deny that.
But I'm very happy with the power of the PS4.
We've seen the spec sheets for months, we've seen the very accurate report from EDGE and now, we have a HUGE multiplats that is confirmed to be running at a higher resolution on the PS4 than the XBO.
What more do you need to see?
Ah, I see. Well, no, that's not what I meant by saying that.
What I mean is that so many casuals have come in and by doing that, publishers are trying to cater to them too much, if you know what I mean. Games these days are much more accessible and casual. Publishers rely too much on them and try to play it safe to keep them catered, hence the lack innovation. They can stay, it's just that publishers and devs can't keep doing the same thing over and over again, if they don...
@mewhy, because they were thinking that the power of the cloud and the dGPU misterXmedia was yammering on about were legit.
Aside from that, people were convinced that the specs on the paper didn't mean anything in terms of real world performance.
But from seeing the interview that allformats provided, it's getting clearer and clearer by the day as to which console is better in terms of specs. Yet, they are stilling clinging to straws when it comes to the powe...
Alright. Why?
Those analysts that you speak of are delusional then. Even Pachter knows the PS4 will sell more than the XBO.
There are many reasons (not just these 5) that the PS4 is the more appealing console.
@below, explain how.
The 360 came out a year before the PS3, had a cheaper price tag, superior multiplats for a while and the PS3 still surpassed it. How the hell is the XBO going to outsell the PS4?
You're on too much of a roll mate. Lol
Congratulations :D
No. I refuse to believe that. I will never accept tablets as a viable part of this industry and I sure as hell don't believe they'll kill of consoles.
Consoles dying off against tablets of all things is just a pipe dream for PC gamers who hate consoles. Please, read this:
http://n4g.com/user/blogpos...
Nothing I see on a tablet or smartphone is going to convince me to use them as dedicated gaming devices or accept them as a viable part of the industry.
Isn't this thing expensive as hell?
Why are you so insecure?
If anything, MS will barely have any new exclusives within the next two years. Sorry, it'll be just like the 360.
@Below, is that supposed to be funny?
'Starting next year in North-America and soon to follow in Europe, we will start streaming PlayStation gaming experiences to PlayStation devices, but also to non-PlayStation devices: smartphones, tablets, laptop computers, televisions, blu-ray players.'
What do they mean by that? Games, or connectivity to the PS4 in some way? I'm saying that because, TVs can't play games on their own. Lol.
Either way, it's good to know that the exclusives are coming.
'Comparing the resolution of one game to another is pretty pointless when different people were working on them.'
And then you say:
'Forza 5 and NBA2k are both native 1080p on X1 so it's possible that Destiny could be as well.'
Contradiction much?
Forza 5 is a racing game and NBA2k is a sports game. They're not what you'd call demanding. Destiny is on a whole other level.
Well, it's another anonymous source, but it's not impossible. If the XBO can't run even run COD at 900p let alone 1080p, Destiny won't be different. Destiny is a more demanding game.
Despite all of that, I'm going to wait until someone credible like CBOAT says something about this, before jumping to conclusions. I do believe that it will be the case though.
@smoothop, are you sure about that? Or is it because he was right about all those g...
Whoa, hold it for a second. I'm a Nintendo fan. I'm getting a Wii U mainly for Zelda, Smash and X. I said this as well:
'Don't get me wrong, it's probably THE flagship series that saved the gaming industry'
I'm not saying that Mario doesn't sell well and I'm not saying get rid of Mario. I'm saying that getting 3 Mario's a year is getting repetitive Read the whole comment before lashing out.
Are you happy with getti...
He didn't even mention Sony.
Sony isn't going anywhere. The PS4 sales are going to be crazy. The Wii U sales will pick up, but at this point, it has no chance of beating the PS4 and even the XBO to some extent, coming from a Nintendo fan.
I agree that Nintendo isn't going anywhere either, but the Wii U is not going to be the big success that the Wii was.
OT: I also think that for the Wii U sales to pick up noticeably, Nintendo needs to bring back f...
To be 100% honest, I don't think anyone should be working on the next Mario game anytime soon. He needs a vacation.
Don't get me wrong, it's probably THE flagship series that saved the gaming industry, but over the last few years, it's been nothing but Mario (exaggeration).
I want them to focus on getting the other games out, like X and the new Zelda. How many Mario's did we get for the Wii compared to Zelda? Who knows how many Mario's...
Gaming journalism has regressed in my opinion.
Too many of these journalists think so highly of themselves and are too scared to ask the hard questions to developers and publishers or give harsh reviews just to keep their guaranteed freebies.
Very few journalists actually do their jobs and pull punches and, like Adam Sessler, still think they are in the industry and entitled to free hardware and games just to give their opinion on them. Good blog Dragon.
