That's cool, but most games will be 1080p native on the PS4 throughout the gen, due to optimization. Most.

I'm not getting a next-gen console on release day, but there's no need to get up tight about launch. Yes, there will be issues, but nothing amazingly dramatic.
It's a huge difference and the gap is only going to become wider throughout the gen.
I have a 1080p TV and I got it mainly because of next-gen games. So I'm glad that the PS4 will be doing 1080p native games.
It's funny actually. These xbots were talking about the DGPU and 4k a while ago and now, 1080p upscaled is apparently better than 1080p native.

The Steam Machines are PCs. Literally. They use off the shelf PC parts, it's upgradable (which the general consumers), no physical distribution, etc.
Maybe for you consoles are done, but the Steam Machines won't have any of the 1st party exclusives.
MS should leave before anyone else in this industry.
