I think that's in extremely ignorant comment considering the fact that we're only 5 months into the gen and the PS4 and XBO have 10 million units (6 mil and 4 mil respectively) out in total. Making a mainline FF is almost like making a new IP. They have to write a new mythos, rearrange who does what jobs on a drastic scale, design new worlds, write new characters.
It was easier back in the PS1 days, but now, it's SO hard to make new IPs. New voice actors, engines, the works.
