I mean if you buy the combo version of both uncharted 4 and lost legacy until recently that eoukd have cost you about $50... if you already own either if those titles it's $10. So I don't know what you are complaining about tbh. If you got it free on the ps plus collection then you got it free anyway so quit complaining.
I spent a total of like 4 or 5 hours on the beta and couldn't even beat that first boss lol so.... and I've played all the soups games and bloodborne and sekiro.
Also it's worth noting that there seems to a promotion at least there is here in the uk that if you buy the new collection or upgrade to it you can get a free ticket to see the upcoming film. I figure that ticket is probably woth more than £10 that it takes to upgrade tbh.
@sourOG that is exactly what anticonsumer means. Let's spell this out: so Microsoft bought Bethesda and their future games are bow exclusive. These are games that were otherwise going to release on multiple platforms. They actually went so far as to halt advanced development on PlayStation versions of games like starfield. So they have limited choice of consumers. ALL consumers. Yeah you main own an xbox now but what if in the future you didn't want to? Now you have to to continue to ...
Sony are literally a bank and an insurance company in Japan (well sister company of main sony) but the answer is yes they could find the moeny todo so it wouldn't be paid in cash though it would be more if a merger type deal with shares being part of the deal.
Why do you think the games will be multiplaftom?!? MS said exactly thr same thing they said about activision about Bethesda. Literally all it meant was they'd continue to support existing titles like ESO. Their first act was literally to have the ps5 version of starfield canned despite it having been in development for some 5+ years and would have also been due to release end of this year.
The problem is COD is biggest IP in gaming and if once sale has gone through it becomes exclusive to games pass alit if console olayers will get xbox's and if that happens that reduced PlayStation market share. This in turn eventually leads to less money to create first party exclusives or help fund new studios that are just starting out and to help nurture them etc.
They don't need to outstanding Microsoft. They need to make smart acquisitions. Worth noting that the fact sonys stock dropped on this announcement is important and should tell you something. It shows exactly what the markets think this means for any rival gaming company. It shows that this is bad for the industry as not just sony's stock dropped but literally the whole industry saw stocks dropping over this except for MS. And becauae I need to spell it out apparently: it's bad fo...
@itsmebryan games pass is working in that it's drawn in subscribers. It isn't working in that it isn't profitable and isn't in the slightest bit viable long term unless they hike the price up. What they are doing is drawing in gamers making them dependent upon games pass for most if their games library and then they will hike the price and the choices will be lose access to your games library or give in and pay the higher price and the price is going to be considerably higher ...
Only way gamespass becomes viable os if they hike the price up several times what it is. Their Olveston simply won't allow them to make acquisitions like this and then not make a return on that. This is just to buy the publisher nevermind the money to actually fund games development.
Amazon already have bought several developers but so far they seem to have no bother letting their stuff release on other platforms aswell.
I can't see how they have any choice. Bethesda they could ignore that purchase but this one is so large and signals MS's intent gpojg forwards that I think they may have to respond in kind. They could definitely afford someone like ubisoft or square Enix and cap companies or Sega.
By games pass price being hiked once people are hooked.
Not even slightly
Usa government has already blocked tercentenary acquisition so this isn't an issue they can simply do so again in thebfuture.
Daethv2 what you mean like starfield ps5 version they had canned after 5+ years development? Or elder scrolls 6... oh also an xbox exclusive now....
Until games pass price goes up.... it's not profitable. To have more games on it costs more money. So something has to give. Sooner rather than later.
@Dfresh MS said that about Bethesda prior to the deal going through. Soon as it was finalised they had starfielda ps5 version cancelled which was what 5+ years into development and then openly said that elderscrolls was likely exclusive too.
There you just said it "pc offers alot more value than a PlayStation ever could" and that is why people mention the high price point which for most people is qn obstacle to entry. Why? Because your statement is incorrect for most people. Most jobs need people to be able to use MS teams or zoom and like MS office and browse the Web. Certainly nothing more taxing than that. The exceptions are those soi g video qnd photo editing, designing games or apps etc. So for moat people in term...
That down to the developers choice in how they feel it goes with the game. Have you played this then?
