Whats the worst is patches that break the game more than they fix it. I remember I didnt get battlefield 4 till january. It was working fine on my ps4 they released a patch and it was unplayable due to rubber banding for about a month and the issue was widespread till they upraded their servers..
The devs didnt want to release battlefield 4 apparently ea insisted they meet that deadline. The worst ofc was skyrim ps3 in particular but there were some prety major bugs on all versions.
So many people dnt have internet good enough for os bow sony will continue the hardware buisness as it allows for them to reach markets in other countries like brazil, africa etc where the web is even worse as an overall infrastructure. MS I expect will aswell. 2020 is 6 years the normal length of a console cycle before the next one comes into play. Ps4 will probably be supported till 2024 but ps5 will release years beforehand.

I think you've misunderstood him, he's saying there will be lots of games where people are interacting yet that the actual social elements will be effected negatively. He seems to be mainly concerned about the idea of MMO RPG's where people could put on VR and interact but then likely would stop bothering to interact with other humans in ordinary ways however this already happens doesn't it?
