As of April Shadow Fall was the best selling new generation game period. Well I'm not about to boycott insomniac or anything but damn I am pissed off I can't play Sunset Overdrive, I know it's just buisness but after like a year ago the "it's not like we've gone exclusive to xbox we've just gone multiplatform" comments just serve to piss me off even more. No there wont if they release some kind of beta and hackers get their hands on the stuff and can prove that it isn't capable of running locally. That's when it'll be clear their cloud tech works as they've been advertising it. So look to Crackdown 3's release I think... Why because any demo's will be given over a LAN and that doesn't have all the same factors that normal network conditions would have.
Even if they do a demo they've done one already. People's issue shouldn't be "does the tech exist" but rather "will it work on average Joe's so so connection" and that's something ONLY a beta test of a LARGE number of people.
@RomaNova: PS5 being a cloud service means it'd work like PS now streaming compressed video footage that needs uncompressing and you play via that. This is very different to cloud compute-doing part of it on the console and part of it in the cloud. Wouldn't be too hard to convert servers todo the other task if it already does one though but still very different concepts due to the amount of data that needs to be transferred by the web- the way PS Now works requires ALOT less data goin...
See can assure you I understand it PERFECTLY and I'm yet to see it work in the wild and do anything special. You are right PS Now controls will be affected by latency and I remember people questioning that at the announcement. It's in beta atm and people have SEEN it working in the wild over sometimes unpredictable LAN. This would cost them money though as they have to run the ps now servers I reckon that what will happen is there will be a small subscription (maybe a new tier of ps plus) that allows you to play psn purchased games voa ps now AND purchase new psn titles to play via ps now. Mobile games will never have depth because they arent designed for the core gaming market they are meant to be quick cash grabs and cash cows that siphon money of the more casual gamers looking for a timesink that they can siphon money off of over a period of time. As such this will never happen a few people will buy it for the games if they're addicted othwrs will buy for tv features and maybe experiment with the games. It might however lead to them entering the proper core gaming market...

THIS!^ I hope thisbis whats going on Insomniac never ended so many plot threads from the end of the second game. The third one was so good but the plot didnt further the overarching llot enough. Need more so either Insomniac need to pulle their fist out of their arse and make 4 OR a different studio like guerilla need to make one or sony bend after Retribution which is lnenof the best in the franchise I know they'd do it justice.
