Do you honestly think, that those who haven't bought a Playstation 3 until now, for the most part, know that it is even backwards compatible? How many consumers out there even research about the products they buy? Especially the kids. Seriously, the BC won't affect this model since there are OTHER MODELS which have BC and are currently on the market.

Okay, and Joystiq explained exactly what now? Seemed more like a rant to me, from a website full of editors that have been less than supportive to Sony up to now.
Worst rumor ever.
That you patent the logo (the design) and not the colors right? Colors can be adjusted as they please, and I don't think it'll be their official logo or anything.
It's probably just a new icon to promote a new line of Playstation products.
"Graphics don't make a game" LOL, way to go Kotaku, bunch of sellouts. These games aren't even targeted towards players like those at Kotaku, they are targeted to the Japanese market, and them alone. So, Kotaku's opinion means NOTHING.
I am amused at how EGM referred to Bioshock as "360's Bioshock" when it is clearly multi-platform (X360, PC).
No bias?
And if it doesn't, every Sony fanboy out there will be laughing at you. And while that's happening you'll be trying to retract your statement by saying "I never wanted it on 360 anyway".
Have been confirmed exclusive, even barely a week ago. Written on their trailers and announced several times by the producers of the games.
Until official statements are released, I call BS on all this "various sources" crap.
But... the future ones, probably.
I wouldn't classify it with the likes of LittleBigPlanet and such, that game is based on user generated content, and that will drive the gameply experience. Forge is more of an addition that provides limited customization to maps and limited editing capabilities. The limitations on the "ugc" in Halo puts it apart from LBP.
I'm guessing that:
1. It'll lose the chrome finish
2. It'll have a 40GB HDD (obviously)
3. It will lose the card readers (hence bringing back the 20GB casing)
4. Wi-fi will be included.
5. No EE (Emotion Engine)
6. No games bundled (as opposed to its 80GB brother)
in addition to the titles being released from here to early 2008, this will sell VERY well during the holiday season.
That vandalism at Toys'r'Us really gave it away... lol
This article author, says that, Sony will shout out the ending to Halo 3 in front of the lines...
Alright, so, let me get to the bottom-line. Sony knows the ending to Halo 3 how? I they indeed know, isn't it Microsoft's fault for not being able to keep it a secret from its DIRECT competitors?
It sounds more like Microsoft is sending out people to shout out the ending to make it look like Sony did it, if in fact they indeed know the real ending.
Nic...
This is not surprising.
Was supposed to be a movie-type game. The design was made around that entire "movie" feel.
MS NBC... says a lot doesn't it?
Wait.. Blu-ray needs a saviour? lol
Jilted? What games would current Playstation 3 owners play that allow for rumble except for GT:HD? None right? So, it doesn't make a difference, if you want to play the rumble enabled games you'll buy the new controller when it is officially released.
I mean, even the new bundles don't come with the "Dualshock 3". The 40GB one? Who knows, we'll have to wait and see, but I highly doubt it.
The scope of the 360, they don't know the market. This game seems dirty here, but over there, this barely scratches the surface.
