Meh, to be taken lightly... April 1st... Go figure.
I know, but the PC is still a platform, that's why Alan Wake and Splinter Cell Conviction aren't exclusive either.
Edit: @ Disagree, tell me, if you don't own an XBOX 360 or a PS3 can you still play Splinter Cell conviction? Can you still play Alan Wake? Can you still play The Agency? YES.... How is that possible if you consider the game exclusive? It's not... so it isn't exclusive.
XBOX 360:
- Alan Wake
- Splinter Cell Conviction
PS3:
- The Agency
- Tekken 6 (if you consider the arcade as a platform)
Mutliplatform......
Also, they marked RESISTANCE 2 as a System seller (in their review section of the article) however, did not put the (SYSTEM SELLER) tag next to it in the list... Bad editing?
"Method and Apparatus for Creating and Playing Soundtracks in a Gaming System"
Sucks for Microsoft that they didn't name it -Method and Apparatus for Creating and Playing Soundtracks in an ENTERTAINMENT System- since that's what the PS3 is marketed as. Loopholes in the patent easy to get past it.
This patent is a non-issue.
So fake.
Sony is listening.
Answer: If there is demand, you capitalize on it.
How convenient is downloading to a -limited- amount of storage? And data on a hard disk is way more volatile than on an optical disc (especially since the hard disk is constantly being accessed and written to). Sure it is upgradable, but that adds a whole other problem for the "general public".
It's also a known fact that people want to be able to keep what they buy, not everyone will keep upgrading their hard drives to accommodate more and more downloadable content, s...
And people said we didn't want optical discs... lol Analysts pfft!
If HD-DVD was still alive you wouldn't have stupid articles like this.
OF COURSE DOWNLOADS ARE THE FUTURE...
BUT
THE FUTURE IS FAR...
Whoever made the picture for this story's pretty dumb.. We're 2008 and Blu-ray is alive and kicking.
Sad, but true. lol
He's bang on. Episodic (a.k.a. OPTIONAL content) doesn't finish the story, the story is finished in GTA IV (as said by Rockstar), the episodic content just adds on to the game and is NOT necessary to finish the plot.
Of course it's gameplay, it's not nearly as stunning as other next-gen games, it's not that difficult to pull it off.
They are the same and DLC only adds OPTIONAL missions.
"OOOOO I GET TOL PLAY OPTIONAL CONTENT!"
This article is full of S.
That article is wrong on so many levels. Developers aren't forced to use their own servers, they have the OPTION of doing so (which they don't on LIVE).
Shouldn't write an article if you don't know wtf you're talking about.
Funny.... 5 - 10 years...
Sony's 10 year plan...
1 year is long?
Need more information about this game, know nothing about it so far.
Looks okay from there. Would have to see some HD content before making a final comment on it.
From that distance though, looks like it hasn't utilized the next-gen consoles as well as it should have.
I have it and I hate the Halo series... Although I practically don't use the console anymore.
