I think Valve would argue that.
I'm not really surprised at this. It was an extremely ambitious idea that cost them a fortune to complete. While it was a great idea it shafted consumers purchasing "licenses" to games that they wouldn't own, yet were paying almost full price for.
Steam does it right as far as digital content goes and I'm a PS3 user. Sorry for the people who lost their jobs but they took a job with a business that was making a very risky move and unfortunately it didn...
The VITA looks awesome and I would have already bought one if I had time to game on the go but I don't. Thats the only reason I haven't purchased one.
These articles about about pointless, its clearly a matter of opinion based on the work each dev is doing. On one hand we have devs coming out saying there's plenty of room left to work with current consoles and the next says they have reached their peak.
If Naughty Dog were to say they can't do anymore then what we have seen that it carries more weight then The Farm 51 who have made 3 games ( http://...

All Fanboys are the worst.
@moncole
A BETA is not a release. Its a BETA.
Magic the Gathering is far beyond Angry Birds. So are many other games that are supported on the iPad. That being said you can't play an FPS for crap on a tablet without a controller and therefor a tablet will never replace that.
I look forward to a day when gamers actually vote with their wallets and bankrupt one of these Publishers over this price gouging they do against the consumer.
Day 1 DLC is BS.
Overpriced map packs are BS.
Subscriptions are BS (make a good product and people will buy it. Selling subscriptions means you get your money before you release the product wtf)
As much money as they put into these games gamers could make a huge impact by simply refusin...
Under the idea that they will sell more, when in fact, they end up sucking because they split their workload under the same time constraints and got a crap product. Obviously a few games don't suffer from this but many do.
The Last of Us should be the most epic SINGLE PLAYER ever. Thats it.
Battlefield should be the most epic MULTIPLAYER EVER. Thats it.
Stick to what your good at. Again, some don't suffer from that but most do imo.
Yeah no.
This is going to be no where near as good as the previous X-Com games because core pieces of have been removed. No, it was not ok to make smaller squad sizes because you ruin some of the strategy behind the ability to flank well. No it was not ok to make it so you have one big base instead of several which now means I can't have certain bases dedicated to research and manufacturing and others for troops and missions.
No time units? WTF. meh
I hope he's right. I prefer to buy a $60 complete game, and I use 'complete' carefully because a lot of games now still nickel and dime us or are broke, but I'd prefer that $60 charge over the free to play model where they milk you for everything and they get way more than $60 for crap.
Wow, I came here expecting him to say they are making yet again another Halo and no one should be excited about seeing the same things you've seen before because well, it is the same game as before and it will probably suck.
You mean to tell me a guy involved with the game praises.... the game? Shock and awe, shock and awe.
I hope people get there money worth out of it, as I do any game, but I'm not surprised at all or consider it news when someone pr...
Exactly, options are a good thing. They also said they are still working toward the ability to add those filters to for searches in the event you don't want to play against people using one or the other.
The number of people buying COD show that plenty of people still like it.
LOL I do the same thing. Can't remember how many times I've played FFVII over because I go awhile without playing and can't remember what I was doing and would just rather start over.
It has some really good games, and some games just do really well with the touch interface, ie Magic the Gathering 2013. That being said, FPS's wont ever be as good on a touch controlled system as they are with a KB/M or controller.
How much innovation can we as gamers really expect to see in an FPS, I mean really. And if we as gamers aren't happy with the current lack of innovation then we need to look in the mirror, because it's us, not the publishers who make this happen. Publishers go with what is making them money and we continue to buy the stuff we claim we are tired of, all while publishers continue to laugh.
Makes sense, if you have a game that is different than CoD, which BF3 is, and you know you have taken some of CoD's player base through marketing, then yeah you would give them something they like, and that was Close Quarters. But the DLC so far has been Back to Karkland and Close Quarters, with Armored Kill coming soon. That's more Battlefield content then CoD style.
So what he's saying is, we've continued to jack up the Socom franchise all while bringing in enough money to continue taking all your money while selling you a product you don't like.
I'm sure there is another Socom game coming, or atleast a box with the name on it.
Sales. Unfortunately.
