The problem is a lot of them are just ppl blogging from home, they just happen to do it on a website that might make them look credible. There is hardly any real journalism in gaming.

It is really a shame that people continue to support Activision this way. The fact that the game is plagued by cheaters, glitches etc and that Activision continues to use an age old engine just shows they don't care about the gamer. While I'm completely understand of a business wanting to make money, there is also a point where they need to have some respect for the consumer. Then again, when your consumer clearly proves they don't care if they are disrespected then why care about...

Best review of it I've read so far. Thanks for posting this.

As good as it looks its not like the trophy/achievement system is new. There is no excuse for not having it. They could offer to have it as a feature you turn off/on so each gamer can decide for themselves. There is absolutely no reason in late 2012 that this shouldn't be standard.

Its not about politics? If it wasn't about politics he wouldn't have plastered a big Obama picture at the top of it, nor used the lefts Forward banner with the Obama 'O' in it. Last but not least his final line "Obamacare and entitlements to the rescue!!!"

How is it not politically related. Its partially about gaming. He could have left politics out of it entirely but instead he wanted the opportunity to be a cheerleader. Whatever, to each his own, ...

Original XCom UFO Defense worked great on the PS1 and was very tactile at the time. Get it on your system of choice and enjoy it.

Yeah, the original XCom UFO Defense was pretty unforgiving at times and I loved it because of that.

Liked this a lot. Hopefully the game doesn't fall on its face on release tho. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Not a lot of Internet connections would support this very well, and having to watch however many ads they deem necessary in order to play would surely get old quick.

I can get a refund if my McDonalds food sucks. I can get a refund if I buy a broken product. If my DLC is terrible or broken I may have to wait months for an update, if get one at all, or just get a general PR response about it not being for everyone.

Big difference.

The biggest problem I have with this season stuff is that they get your (our) money before we see the product and that is a lot of trust. We're paying for something that yes, may be good in the first or second DLC pack, but who knows how crappy it could get, or could start out as.

The only saving grace is that if you really, really love the game and know you're gonna buy the DLC packs anyway then you typically save a bit by buying a pass ala BF3 Premium. But, its stil...

The media is also consumed by people who steal, pirate, copy the property to avoid paying for it or demand that a product that was created through hard work and many, many man hours be free to play.

I'm not arguing your point, but its clearly changed and both groups can easily take some of the blame.

Considering the size of the game the graphics are not going to be as good as your BF3/MW3 style games. That being said it is far from boring and if you consider it that you apparently aren't very informed about the scope, possibilities, and general happenings of what the Eve Online community is involved in and how Dust 514 will interact with it, hardly boring.

5041d ago 3 agree3 disagreeView comment

Absolutely agree. I just think people are getting turned off by the complexity and scope of Dust 514 itself. It is a lot to take in, especially if you have no idea what you are getting into when you turn it on.

To be fair the gameplay needs some work but this latest update was a HUGE step in the right direction. Definately excited about this game.

I've enjoyed it so far. People may call some stuff camping because this isn't your CoD respawn fest, people value their lives and decisions a bit more to win the round for their team. Anyone looking for people to play with hit us up at www.noobgaming.org.

Even if that were the case, regarding not trimming area's around Japan, it wouldn't happen anyway. Its where Sony is based.

I'm liking it so far and glad I picked it up. Definately simplistic in its own way but rewarding all the same. Anyone looking for people to play with hit us up at www.noobgaming.org.

Unreal Tournament offered limited mods on the PS3 to my knowledge. And considering the cross play in Portal 2 and with Dust 514 and Eve Online I'd say Sony is MUCH more likely to do it then MS, so I have to disagree with you.

Especially if the mods are made by Valve, such as this apparent Zombie mod. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony denied user mods but mods from Valve should be easy to include.

5042d ago 3 agree1 disagreeView comment

I'm gonna assume PS3/XBox will enjoy these mods as well, atleast I'll keep my fingers crossed.
