No. Just no.
This game is just plain fun.
Cable companies have already taken a huge blow crom people who are streaming. It is only a matter of time before people have the ability to really stream all their tv shows as seamlessly as they can turn on their cable box. It isn't there yet due to some select providers and shows but it will get there. I don't think cable companies will disappear but they won't have the foot hold they have now.
Drop the SP and focus on the most bad-ass multiplayer + in-game clan support you can possibly imagine.
I can wish right? :o
This is crap. I typically don't get to bent out of shape about pre-order incentives, but putting a deadline on it when next gen is around the corner is a real d!ck move. I don't want to pre-order for PS3 if I can get it day 1 on a PS4.
@ rdgneoz3
In the BETA ammo was very hard to find. Not the case in the game. The boxes are everywhere.
Can't wait till I get back from vacation. I pre-ordered the UE but wont' be back till around april 8th :( Atleast it'l be waiting for me.
If anyone is lookin for PS3 players to play with us my team up at digitalking.enjin.com
Game is gonna be awesome and I loved the BETA. Anyone looking for a team to play with can hit us up at http://digitalking.enjin.co...
Very excited for this game. I had a lot of fun in the BETA even tho the chat was messed up on the PS3. They have said that is fixed already for the final version as the BETA was an old build.
If anyone is looking for people to play with hit up my team at http://digitialking.enjin.c... as we're recruiting. Can't wait for the release on April 2nd!
When you break it down like you did at the start then every game involving quests is boring. Go to point A, do x, y, and z, return to point a and claim reward.
When said like that then yes, it is boring and so is every game out there. Frame rate, texture issues, the mic problems are BETA related problems and its been stated over, and over that the current console builds are months old and were submitted awhile back in order to get them out for players to test before release....
Needed to add that it does micro-transactions the right way. It's truley free to play and not pay to win.
2013 and still have server issues. Sigh.

If I can save money by purchasing just the portion of the game I want, ie the MP or SP, then that would be a great option, and yes purchasing one should be cheaper then both, but both should be a savings deal as well.
I bought BF3 day 1 and I dont play the SP, but I should have the option of saving money and only getting the MP mode. I understand your concern that they would charge you more for one mode rather then a full game but that is somethin...
So, in the case of Battlefield 3, which I think is amazing, I should just not play it since I can't get the MP only in your opinion? Rather then have the option of getting the MP only I should just avoid the entire game? How is that better then having the option to purchase the portion I want.
Also, I don't like the idea of purchasing levels individually, or each weapon, etc etc. I already stated that above. Micro-transactions are not a win in most cases, unless done ...
I would pay if it avoided microtransactions. I don't support micro-transactions if it means I'm paying for stuff I used to get with a one time fee. League of Legends on the other hand does it perfect from my experience.
So therefor, yes, free is good depending on how the micro-transactions are done. Otherwise I'll just pay the one time fee for a complete multiplayer experience.
Why because its an option? I would have loved the option to buy BF3 multiplayer without the single player portion because I don't care about the single player in Battlefield. It should be cheaper and it should be an option.
Not sure why people on this site hate options. Really baffles me.
I can't wait till we can just buy the multiplayer portion of a game without the SP. This is a great start to that.
@fatstarr
If you seriously think my statement is hypocritical then you are clearly missing the key differences in the network.
I can do everything I need to in order to play my games or watch movies online without ever paying Sony an online fee to do it. PS+ is simply a choice I have that adds extremely good value over its cost.
With XBox you have to pay, as others have said, to simply play your online games. Nothing I said was hypocritical....
You would have to be silly to not take advantage of the deal PS+ gives you. It's insane the value you get for the subscription cost. The only issue I could see is if you don't have the ability to download stuff or you have a download cap. If that's the case you aren't forced or required to have PS+ to use online so not sure why people don't respect the service for what it is.... A great option that has amazing value.
To each his own I guess.
Speak for yourself. The only thing EA is doing here is saving themselves some money by not paying for the license. That's it.
This has nothing to do with any sort of bogus distrust in gun companies that you are trying to create.
