@Livecustoms
Good job joining an hour ago troll. You clearly weren't around when the 360/PS3 released and this site was nothing but Microsoft fan boys.
Q: So Kinect is always on?
A: When you are in the low power state, it is listening for exactly one thing, 'Xbox On,' which will wake up the system and tell it to get going.
That means its listening to EVERYTHING and is keyed up by that exact phrase. That is what that means.
I honestly read it as a crack on CoD, not that he was actually impressed with it.
Overall those statements seemed as tho they aren't to excited about it. From either straight up stating it was bad, or lacked good news for gamers to straight up throwing out their own easy advertisement ala Ubisoft with Watch Dogs.
None of those jumped out and said "OMFG I can't wait to program on this piece of hardware".
Thanks for replying and I hope you can benefit from anything I have said. I have everything against games journalism because it lacks the journalism part. Every site claims to be unbiased and everyone can clearly see how that is working out.
I'll still state that even in your reply "The reason why I write this article is because gamers, overall, have a lack of faith within next gen" is clearly speculation that you are writing as fact. You aren't backing that...
This article annoyed me a bit, and here is why.
As a news site you should probably be up on the news. You mention the DRM issues Microsoft has presented and then leave it open that consumers are flooding Sony with Twitter messages, failing to note that Sony has already said DRM will be up to the Publishers. Stop acting like Sony is in the same boat as Microsoft when they clearly aren't, in the same water yes, in the same boat no.
You are spot on with the ...
Good move by Sony. They save face by not forcing the issue on their end and put the blame solely on the publishers who, in the case of EA, want it.
The key here being "options". One is giving you options, the other isn't.
Spin it, spin it.
I would simply say they are early adopters and thats it. My original PS3 60GB is still going strong.
Hardly.
Microsoft gave the run down of their console and people didn't like it. Now they are saying wait till E3.
Sony is telling you to wait till E3, and everyone liked the PS4 announcement.
I love how people on this site act like its so fricken pro Sony and apparently forget the release of the 360 and PS3 when this site damn near did a witch hunt on Sony fans. It was pathetic. Bottom line is, trolls are trolls.
Really tired of these articles intentionally including Sony in the title with Microsoft in an attempt to lump Sony into the same horrible outlook that people have toward Microsoft.
@ Jek_Porkins
No, no I wouldn't be impressed. Any body, besides a movie claiming killer sales from Blockbuster is looking for a quick easy headline, just like this article did with the XBox One.
I'd laugh just the same if someone did it with the PS4 from Blockbuster.
Wait, lemme put on my shocked face.
Jokes aside I'm really excited for this and I hope we see some great stuff and maybe some new game modes? Please ... :)
Breaking sales records at Blockbuster is a joke. The store is on its last legs. I highly doubt it would take much to be considered a record there.
Definately more hyped for the PS4. The picture of the console means nothing to me. Sony showed the specs and the games already using the system. It doesn't matter that they didn't show the box, we know what it was capable of.
While I agree with you, in Sony's defense they were in a huge format war with Microsoft over Blu-ray and obviously won that battle. It was extremely important at that time to advertise more than ever.
I'm sure the guys over at Sony are smiling big that the new Microsoft game console is using Blu-ray.
So fricken excited for this game. Going to pre order today
I'm pretty sure the 80+ million sales prove otherwise.
I have to laugh out loud because of all the people who said before they'd never go after video games.
Have a bubble Stage88.
