Once again, people are proving the whole 'core' argument against Kinect is silly.
I will break it down once again for those who didn't read it the first time. The whole 'core' argument started and picked up steam after the big Kinect roll out at last year's E3.

Yup they did..which is why Kinect is already 10 million sold and its only been out 8 months.
The skeptics and the haters mean absolutely nothing to the gamers who bought and enjoy Kinect. They simply make headlines for a small miniscule segment of the media.

Halo never lost it's way..Halo ODST was side story which had some of the moat original storytelling elements in franchise history. Halo Reach finally told the prequel story to the original Halo and was simply epic. Bungie threw the kitchen sink at Reach and nothing last or this year has come close to Reach in terms of multiplayer offerings.
But it is time to tell the Master Chief story again and I think it's actually great that 343 has a chance to provide a fresh take...
Well said edonis..you hit in on the nail about E3..the media went ape about what was shown for Kinect but you never heard a peep about the ridiculously tacked on horrible Kobe demo of NBA 2K12..in fact if it was Kinect..that is ALL they would have remembered.
In fact the So. Move's initial strategy has mainly to use it as an alternate form of control and that was what people praised..when Mcrosoft started to adapt the same logic to Kinect and add optional implementation...

Wii's Killer app always was Wii Sports. Nintendo later found it's cash cow in Wii Fit. Using the plastic 'wheel' Nintendo's Mario Kart dominated..other first party made the rounds but in it's latter life we find that the teen market of Just Dance rose to the top of Nintendo charts. Either way it's the family experience that made Wii sell like hotcakes over PS3 and the 360.

But I have played so many other games this year..like I have been saying September through December is going to be ridiculous for even guys like me (who buy almost all the big titles) to keep up.
Demons Souls was sipmly addicting crack. Hours flew by like minutes. But I'm not going to lie..I must have restarted that game over and over at least 5 times. Playing as certain characters was fun, but ridiculously hard.
Checkpoints would provide the kind of progression that we are normally used to from other titles, but to be honest once you figured out HOW to progress DS, the games system made complete sense.

It's supposedly still in the works. Peter even pointed out that they've put a whole lot of work into the project. The thought is the tech may debut with Fable: The Journey, but ultimately it will still be a game.

It's coming out NEXT November and it won't be a 720 launch title..it will be the 360s swan song..Halo 4 wuill release with by far it's biggest install base in history. It also is the start of a new trilogy which will draw millionn to the 720 when it finally is released a couple of years from now.

I'd say the PC ME series the so called "Core". I remember ME on PC being hailed as the definitive version and ME2 is just as great.
We are talking about consoles. When any media talks of 360, PS3 and Wii sales, yiu DO know there is a reason the PC is not apart of the equation. It's because it not a console and never was.
How is the PC the definitive version when people played the first one with a 360 contro...
Just like the original Wii..sooooo many people hated on the Wii before it was released, but after that initial craziness where NO ONE could find a Wii after it was released, then EVERYBODY bought one.
