This might be one of the most interesting comment reads on N4G I have read on a look long time. The percentage of people who kept it real about 'cross game' is phenominal.

The number one reason the sequel to the most beloved console shooter outside of Halo got hate on dates back to the day the articles about what Bobby K. Said about the PS3 needed a price cut or he was going to eventually move COD away from the console. Strongman for example is pretending that mostgames on released were dance and fitness games which is absolutely false. But like I said its just the usual comments that come from the usual suspects.
When it comes to motion controls this gen, the Wii is the barometer. The Wii took the world by storm mainly off of one title 'Wii sports'....

Game looks cool..it honestly fell off my radar..but with the line-up from September on I'd never get a minute in on this game. Looks like I'll have to pick it up in December. But I hope it's super successful though.
I just know I'm going to literally lose my life into games like Skyrim while battling online with Gears, COD, Batlefield and Halo Anniversary. Plus UC3..and the sports games..Madden and NBA..

Now first and foremost let it be said that Microsoft will not stop any Sony momentum or even stop the Wii from selling..but what they can accomplish is another monster holiday.
Kinect simply is the 300 pound gorilla for hardware sales last holiday, but this year it honestly has no competition. Wii-U won't be here till next year and Move really isn't Kinect's direct competion due to the different experiences.

Been looking forward to Steel Battalion since last year's announcment. The Hybrid path is obviously the most logical for this kind of game and one that I'm sure many future devs will probably adopt.
The fact is making Kinect optional for some titles is a win-win for gamers and the devs. Regardless of the control scheme I'm glad that Capcom is revisiting this franchise..especially for those of us who don't want or have to pull out the dusty 100 button contro...
According to the financial reports the 360 is currently ahead worldwide for fiscal 2011. But let's face it, the 360 will NEVER lead worldwide by a long shot simply on the strength of Japan.
Japan barely buys the PS3s top exclusives but what the country does do for Sony is buy hardware in their home country. The 360 barely sells in Japan and that trend is simply not going to change this gen. Those numbers go a long way to offset the 360s momentum in North America.
The bottomline is Micrsoft is coming strong this holiday.

Forza 4 looks like the title has a chance to do big numbers worldwide..and only time will tell if it can break into mainstream with the Kinect features.
October they are also releasing sequels to to of the biggest selling Kinect games from last year..Both Kinect Sports 2 and Dance Central 2 are no brainers if you own Kinect
